John Jackson says:

I bought 2 headlight assembly’s but they don’t have the same connection, is there a adapter for that

jkgecko says:

Welp, not changing my headlights now but thanks for showing me where the battery is.

kontra says:

Excellent video gave some insight on my question to you. Have you made a video with the Acadia's low and high beam connector replacement? Im trying to find information on relacement as mine is burned or melted and wont come on.

jarhead66 says:

Won't be bringing my 2012 Acadia SLT to this joint for simple headlight bulb replacement pal, all this unnecessary work you're doing is liable to set me back couple C notes, if I may suggest check these other guys here on utubeland n learn how to do it quick n easy save yourself half day's worth of work plus keeping your customers happy

Aaron Brown says:

Holy crap!!! That is so much harder than it has to be.

Start Car, point wheels away from the headlight you want to remove. Turn car off. Remove the 4 T-20 screws on the front edge of the inner well liner. Reach in and uncap the back headlight cap.

Holy smokes, this video just keep ……. on …… going …… on ……. and …… on.

So many other videos, that are better. Just did this on my Acadia and I spent 5 – 10 minutes total working time for both lights.

harsukh singh says:

So much work for just a headlight gmc design is too much

Chandler Smith says:

Any other people did this and find out the new headlights have a different wire harness that will not connect to the one on the car the newer headlights come with a skinny long harness the one on my gmc Acadia are more square

BR says:

Not sure if they have capital punishment in Michigan; whoever designed this vehicle needs to be executed.

Glenn Bridges says:

I just glued 2 dollar store night lights to the lens.

xxCostaGuy66xx says:

DUMBEST DESIGN EVER

Aaron Sells says:

I'll sum up the video. If you own a Lambda platform call your insurance company to verify coverage, then drive it off the closest mountain. You'll thank me later.

Tech29 says:

Some "insert your favorite expletive here" deliberately designed this vehicle, with intent to boost corporate profits. They do this on purpose, when something as simple as a light bulb goes out you buy a new vehicle. Nowadays all manufacturers resort to such shady tricks, but GM/Chevy, Range Rover, Mini Cooper (bmw) are notorious about it.

Kari Dee says:

I’m having so many issues with GMC Acadia it was a mistake getting it… Everytime I take it to get fixed is always costs an arm and a leg!! Poorly designed car

Karim Alzoubi says:

Excellent Video, Stupid design it is too much complicated and costly. why GMC customers have to pay a lot of money to replace a headlight while Toyota or Honda customers pay a fraction of that cost. No wonder why GMC customers switching to another vehicle brand.

terry largy says:

What a joke! I like the part where have a friend hold the bumper, lol I assume I payed for him also or is he free. Feck! I hope the hell they fired the moron who designed the Acadia. 2010,11& 12. $150 to change a headlight bulb. FECK! a week later another one went. Feck again!

Brandon Laury says:

Thanks for this video, it was very helpful !
I am a Buick Enclave owner. I assume this is the same process for my vehicle.

Gerald West says:

Excellent reason to NEVER buy anything from GM…ever!

Niko Konn says:

Thats alot of labour for headlightS replacement. WOW

Benjamin Crisp says:

I went through the wheel well and accidentally knocked off the metal spring retaining clip.. that took me 2 hours to reinstall- by feel since you have zero visibility .. nuts

Ye Aung says:

Too much work to just headlight it won’t take me one minute on my Honda or Lexus

Son of Canada says:

Those taking about just the bulb, this process isn't what's done. This is for the entire light assembly.
To change a light bulb it's almost as stupid. You have to do it from the wheel well. Ours keeps burning out bulbs every 6 months and burns out the harness as well.

The steps to change a bulb;
1, take a can of gas
2 dump it all inside the car
3 light a match
4 throw match in the car

Maurizio Martinez says:

I replaced my light bulbs through the wheel well cover. Remove 4 screws, pulled the wheel well back and reach in with your arm. Turn the wheel for more space. 10 minutes…guaranteed!

klassick says:

I tried to replace mine, couldn't figure it out. Came here. Closed the hood and now I'm going to move on in life.

Nolen Wren says:

Called the dealership and $1,000 for both lamps and 350 for labor. ☹️
