How to replace front struts/shocks 2015 GMC Silverado 1500 Denali and bypass Magnetic ride control

Here is how I installed a pair of standard front struts and used a 25W3 OHM resistor instead of my friend spending $2000 I was able to fix for significantly less. I ordered the resistors online for about $20 for all 4 ( 1for each corner). For now I only did the fornt but I have 2 for later if he wants to do the rear later, or should one of the front ones go out.

moe capitol auto Network says:

that resistor gets very hot, it will melt the zip tie and anything on top of it…

Shaun Scheel says:

So this year of truck doesn't need the bypass kits for Gen3 magnetic shocks?

ZTrade Capital says:

in other videos some other people on escalade used 50w 6ohm resistor. whats the difference ?

Slap yo momma says:

What’s the difference between to two???????????

Isaias Chapa Jr. says:

Where did you purchase the resistor

Nate H says:

Has this continued to work? If so, where can the resistors be picked up?

John Bianchi says:

Not a good idea to wire-tie on electrical harnesses. Those resistors get hot enough to melt the plastic! I know, happened twice on my 2014 Cadillac Escalade. I've replaced them 3 times. All lasted no more than a week. This last set I've wrapped in aluminum, see how long that lasts. May need higher wattage resistance!?
