I have a 82 c10 and it started just fine. I jumped a car and parked my pickup. A day later I turned the key all the lights turned on and when I went to start position nothing happened. No clicking no jittering just dead. Any suggestions?

Jere Jere says:

Thanks for showing how its supposed to be so I can compare my old one. to your new one and figure out if my starter is bad.

Richard Velasquez says:

This is same for 85 caprice

Robert Waldron says:

Good video Thanks! Your speedometer only goes to 65?

kblopp says:

Sounds like a half dead battery to me.

Starman94 says:

My grandfather has a 1977 Chevy K20 350 unleaded built on with 1982 and 1984 parts and the starter is going out on it.

CONNIE HAWKINS says:

no need to test fit with flywheel and shim?

Gilbert Grape says:

Hey Luke, I have a C1500 Chevy pickup 1988 very similar to the blazer in the video the starter isn’t completely flush with the flywheel cover but my truck still starts, is it normal for the starter to not be completely flush on these vehicles?

Death TM says:

What size sockets?

living in a desert says:

I have 91 c3500. The wires are red positive and the little ignition wire. Should i have 3??

James Cale says:

I have a question if anyone can answer it
I have a 76 c20 it has a 350 out of a 80’s model I’m guessing and this morning it didn’t want to start unlike this video mine clicks only once
so is there a second solenoid on the body somewhere that I can try replacing before I have to pull my right side long tube header to get to the starter solenoid?

Joe McELyea says:

I'm so old that I forgot which terminal to bolt the single wire to. The young man who wired in the starter for me put the small wire on the R side and I thought that was wrong. Your video showed me that I had not forgotten everything.
THANK YOU.

Angel C says:

Hey man great video! I have a 1977 c10 with a pretty bad worn gear so I'm looking to just replace the whole starter, but where did you get your starter and what brand is it? I'm looking for something fairly cheap but that will work consistently

Duncan Peterman says:

Hey! Thank you for this video. I took this out on my 1979 M1009 Military Blazer, but then forgot where the smallest wire connected to! I searched it up, and your video showed me exactly where I was to wire it. Thanks again!
