Depending on what type of mirror you have we may carry just the glass. Visit our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393, and look up your application. We do carry some replacement glass.
Is it possible to replace just the glass and not the entire housing?
These do not have the memory feature, so they would not work.
The dealer might have the glass available for it. We carry the complete mirror assemblies for this vehicle. Hope this helps you out.
Can the glass only be replaced. When my mirror was broken it was hanging by wires. I popped it back on to the housing and it has held for a long time, htr works and all. Can I get the glass only? And how do I pop it off carefully if this is the case.
When you order your new mirror you should match the options that you have to the new one. That way your new mirror will plug right into your factory harness.
Great video! Looks rather simple. I noticed in an earlier video (’00-’03) that the cord is short. My mirror is pwr adjust and htr only (no turn signal or courtesy light), will this determine the length of the cord and how mush I have to pull off to replace it? Or was the 00-03 a different set up than the 04-07 Classic. I have an ’05 Sierra.
I replaced the driver side mirror(GMC Sierra 2002) and only had to take off the three bolts holding the mirror. The electric connection was right there, not all the way down inside the door. Was happy I did not have to remove the door panel.

so i see the connection of the mirror is a long cord. i had mine replaced but it wasnt the mirror with the signal light light my driver side on. and when i took off my door panel i noticed the cord on the new mirror didnt reach where it needs to be connected? whats up with that. ps i didnt install the mirror just noticed i couldnt control it
Search for 96 tahoe door panel. You’ll find my video for that once the door panel is off then it is just a few bolts, unplug the harness if applicable and then reinstall.
