All of a sudden my power window and door lock stop working stop working on
driver side all other windows work with there own switch seems like I lost
all power to driver door please help!

truckinb23 says:

My pass side window rolls down but has a hard time going back up. Infact it
stops at a certain point. I believe its the window motor. My question is
can I just replace the motor or do I have to buy the whole set?

1A Auto Parts says:

The motor doesn’t look like it’s serviceable on that application. We carry
the complete window regulators with the motor on our website 1aauto.com

Thank you so much for the info. Before I made the cut. I took the switch
from the other side and placed it on that side and come to find out I had a
bad switch! I am girly girl and you guys made the video so simple, I was
able to do it ALL on my own. By the way I did take the whole regulator out
before switching the switch. Thanks Again!!

1A Auto Parts says:

You will want to open up the door panel and cut the cables on the window
regulator. This will drop the window all the way down but it will also
allow you to push it up all the way to the top and then allow you to prop
it up internally with something.

1A Auto Parts says:

Thank you for your order Rob, Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Tayap79 says:

I’ve determined the motor and regulator are good and the passenger switch
is getting power. Assuming the the switch is no good on the passenger side.
Would a bad switch on the passenger side cause the button on the driver
side not to work for the passenger window?

quest808 says:

my cable broke. what do i have to change out?

adamp961 says:

Just replaced my wife’s on her trailblazer and your video helped
tremendously! Thanks!

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to look to see if there’s power to the window regulator. If
the window doesn’t work it could be caused by many different things. It
could be a blown fuse, broken wire in the wire harness, bad window switch.
or the regulator may be bad. You may want to test the power to the window
motor with a test light to see if there’s power going to it. Hope this
helps you out.

Thank you so much! You saved me hundreds of dollars. I was able to buy the
part, and it took less than 25 minutes to replace and put the door panel
back together!!!

Thank you so much for the video, thankful for people like you who are
willing to show these videos to help people do it them selves and save
money. Replaced my wifes and she is so proud of me…

Larry Burks says:

Great video. I was able to make the change on my vehicle after watching.
Thanks!

Tayap79 says:

I have an 05 EXT Trailblazer and my front passenger window will not go up
or down. Button does not work on the driver’s side nor the passenger side.
Would this be a switch problem or is the motor gone?

Excellent video. Thank you, I have used your products numerous times and
have had a very good experience every time. Most recently I purchased a
window motor for my ’04 Buick Rainier. Upon installing it, the window did
not go up any faster than before (it actually lagged so much it got stuck).
This video allowed me to remove the regulator assembly easily (a daunting
task before viewing this) and lubricate the assembly with Dry Film
Lubricant. Works like new. Thanks again.

1A Auto Parts says:

They are pretty decent if you keep your window down while you are driving
and live in an area where it rains a lot. It helps keep all the water from
going down inside the door panel.

L Amos says:

Thank you, I’ll take a look at it now!

shoemkr27 says:

Thanks a lot for the extremely helpful video. Almost enjoyed doing the
install/swap as a result. Your taking the time to put together and share
such a resource is much appreciated.

Jim Otto says:

My Dad has an 02 trailblazer and his passenger window wont work could this
be the problem and is it the same steps for the drivers side and the
passenger side?

malcolmyoung777 says:

Thanks for this tutorial….

13german says:

@1aaauto, thanks. I had thought of that, but very good information for
others. Found out today the wife is happy- so all is good. 🙂

1A Auto Parts says:

@13german Also if the weatherstrip around the window is dried out, it will
slow the window down wether the motor is new or old. If you spray some
silicone spray on the weatherstrip it will help the window to go up and
down faster too. Hope this helps you out.

1A Auto Parts says:

No, but you may want to check the wire harness that runs between the
drivers side door and body of the truck for a broke or frayed wire that may
be causing this issue. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Great video, how do you feel about in the track drip gaurds?

Anthony Wesley says:

Thank you. I bought your regulator and window and other than the guy before
me screwing it up it went great. I really appreciate your doing these
video’s for all the guys that can’t really afford to have it replaced by a
shop. You guys are the best and I will always use your parts because of
your commitment to helping the little guy. Most shops wouldn’t do this
because they want to charge high prices to do this even though if you know
the tricks it is really easy. Thanks again, Tony Wesley

i have a 99 trailblazer driver side power window only goes 1/4 way down or
it just not work

Rob Smith says:

I wanted to thank you for the video and the part I ordered from you. I came
to youtube to find a video that would explain the installation process for
a window regulator. I found this video and subsequently your website. My
dealer wanted about $500 to fix my window… AND they told me the part was
on national backorder with no idea when the part would be available. You
guys shipped it to me in 3 days and the total cost was around $90. The
video was easy to follow. Thanks!
