oil change light off for another 3000 miles. Simple…

My new alternator serms to not spin with the belt the round part the belt spins is stoping and spining stoping and spinning

The belt shouldn't move much . Most trucks have a diagram on the front . Lift up on tensioner . Done . Wait whole day for charge or jump
Hammer worked great ! I just did this and charging now , barely made it home . Took an hour but the charge is taking forever at 12 v 6 amps

I just replace the alternator in my 2000 Silverado but I didn’t take the belt all the way off it’s pretty easy to replace the Alternator in these early 2000 models

Glad you used another Delphi one. Parts store refurbish alternators are not reliable.
