Thanks so much for posting this. This saved me allot of troubleshooting time. I found the tube goes from the location you indicate in the video over to a vacuum port on the intake manifold on the drivers side. Mine was cracked in the middle where it was draped over the alternator. I bought a 3/8 vacuum hose and just pushed it over the original rubber connectors on the original plastic hose. Blower switches perfectly now. Thanks so much:)

That skinny hose is on the driver side valve cover, hooks up to the valve it runs across the motor and hook up to a (T) shape air splitter one runs to the ac canister and the other runs though the fire wall passenger side below the A/C system. Usually has a plastic cover around it dew to it bring so thin. but if it breaks you’ll only get air in the defrost or if it get unplugged from the canister..

Thanks for the info. Now if you know of or know someone who can solve my draft under the dash problem on the drivers side I would be forever grateful. It gets damn cold on the legs in the winter and that will be here soon too! :0(

You are my personal hero – I would have had a real hard time finding this without your help! You showed me where to look and sure enough it was the problem. I too used 1/8″ aquarium hose to make a quick patch. To do the repair right it will take about 30″ of 5/32″ vacuum hose but for now the aquarium hose is keeping me cool in the 97 deg. heat! YAY

thank you for the positive comments, cheers

Eduardo Felix says:

Yeah I did. Turns out the vacuum hose was cracked and ripped at the t-connector near the passenger side. Thanks, I was so glad I found your video:same problem and same vehicle!

TrueZombieLife.com says:

did you get ther van fixed?

cheers

Eduardo Felix says:

I’m currently having this issue on my van. Thanks for the video. At first, the symptom was that I would loose air blow while accelerating, but now it’s only blowing through the defrost vents
