i also have a 98 blazer the resistor is in between the blower motor and heatercore on the ones with the blazers with Auto HVAC controls and it cost around 300-500 dollars
Mike,I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer with the Auto HVAC controls I notice i don’t have the fan resistor where u show it in the above video and i dont think Its blowing on the highest setting, any suggestions. The spot u show the resistor in is emtpy in mine.
Wow, what vehicle?
13$?? Shit mine is 300
mark, any help, do not have a clue i guess it was the resistor but what is not letting speed 4 work now i read that the speed 4 does not go thru resistor can there be an inline fuse all other fuses are good that i can see
That is strange. So do you think the resistor was bad and that’s what fixed speeds 1 and 2?
Hey Mark,
2000 Chevy s10 originally 3 & 4 speed worked on ac blower motor but not 1 & 2, I changed the resistor, the relay and the 20 amp fuse inside the cab that was blown.. Now I have speeds 1 2 & 3 working but no 4, can you offer guidance?
Awsome! I hope the video helped.
Thanks man! I had the exact same problem. The 1 and 2 speed on switch do not work. Ac blows beautiful otherwise. I will order the resistor and use this video to change it out!
