Dealer quoted me $3500 saying the truck needed a new injector. After 5 minutes of research I found out it’s very common for #4 cylinder & #6 cylinder connector to the injector fail. About an hours time and $65 the truck is back in operation. I thought to make a video to lend a helping hand to our fellow L5P ol boys, Passing on knowledge, Like to learn new things,Or just like me Do it yourself.
This video will show you how to fix code P0206 and P0300 on the L5P Duramax diesel found in the 2017 to present GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado 2500 & 3500 Trucks.
This truck was running very rough, check engine light on, was saying service emissions system, check owners manual now, and speed was restricted to 55mph. This is a very common problem on these truck especially for cylinder #4 and cylinder #6. The factory pigtail that plugs into the injector heats up and starts to create high resistance causing the injector to not perform correctly thus creating a misfire. Pigtail was purchased from ACDelco GM and I will provide a link below and also links to the fuel line disconnect tools as well.
