RUN WHAT YA BRUNG!!! I’m not gonna spend any money, but I’m not gonna have this thing leak in 6 months either! The fix is a theory I have, but I think it’s a good theory!

I like to see a little ingenuity instead of running to the store for a new
whatever all the time. You know how to “Make Do” just like us old timers.
Scotty HA HA HA Worst experience with headers was on a 75 camero OMG no
hoist .
Always had problems with the cheap headers, Started using the OEM manifold
gaskets instead of header gaskets.
drill bit shank for the pin on the torch, and scotty kilmer sucks,,
scotty kilmer ! ha
I see the heater matrix has disconnected it’s self again, or is it time
warp? Those old videos you said were in the pipeline.
Great stuff Jeff.
You don’t have an old set of scrap heads somewhere so you could bolt the
headers on and reweld on the bench?
Studs N Nuts…. Studs N Nuts… Oh, The ol stock car days! Cut the flange
when you get them new. Great vid Jeff!
Sounds much better
Good improvising! Nice job!
Thanks Jeff.
IMO the real world should follow the theory, at least this time.
Up late today!
I loved your guest Scotty Kilmer!
Hey, Jeff! Intake and carb are next… Congrats on making it way less
obnoxious!
Add a message to your video
How is that Sprint running?
You really did look like Scotty Kilmer when you did that. But your videos
are much better.
haha!!! scotty Kilmer. that was funny. your vids are way better.
Great video! I like your sense of humor, and comments! That’s about
exactly what I’m thinking when I work on things. Makes my experiences
busting knuckles on our cars and vans more enjoyable. I’m always trying to
find ways of tweaking a few more miles out of parts and things.
lol scotty
Your videos take me back to a time I didnt see. The music is spot on and
makes me think of that street rod 2 game that came out in 1991 (set in
1969).
Got to love some backyard fixes when you just have to make do with what you
have.
LOL…..Scotty Kilmer
Great fixes Jeff . . . sounds great. Thanks for sharing . . . . 😉 Rog
STEEL TOE HAMMER!!!!!!
that impression of scott was right on… hahahaha
I love that cutting the flange idea, reminds me of race zoomies.
I died when you started saying Neit
jeff you should try aluminum gasket they are good for life they say
Proform Parts 67921 – Proform Soft Conforming Aluminum Header Gaskets
Never been able to make the white gaskets hold for long. I make my own.
Two sets standard manifold gaskets, use copper high heat form a gasket. Put
the steel core sides to each other with a layer of copper gasket maker
between them Place in vice between two 2 by 4 blocks compress overnight.
What you wind up with is a double steel core gasket with a soft outside
sealing edge that don’t blow out ever..Not the prettiest thing, but know
more header worries
I’ve found that a good set of gear wrenches are a good investment and will
pay for themselves in the time they save on removing hard to reach nuts and
bolts.
you need a heater core or is it a bypass for summer?
Them ebay headers jeff? Haha
Good going Jeff! No loud exhaust tickets now.
Get some golf ball’s and drill A hole in them the size of the file tang.
Best file handle I have ever used. Best use for golf ball’s also!
One tip though. Don’t get the golf ball’s off the golf course while the
game is on. Man them old guy’s get down right testy!!
Good fix Jeff. Always a pleasure watching you work.
That Scotty comment killed me! Nice one!
Hey, have you ever used stock exhaust manifold gaskets?
Hey Jeff, great video buddy! Every time I watch your videos, I always learn
something new and always find new ideas for my 1972 GMC C20. Also what carb
do u got on there now and what kinda carb are u going to put on next? Can’t
wait to watch your next video of your 69′ GMC. Keep up the great work
buddy!
Amazed that you didn’t think to cut the headers before. I had to chop some
up to fit them in my ’64 Nova with a 327ci engine. No way to get them in
with cutting the flanges like you did.
LOL! I must admit it was a more hilarious episode. Truck sounds alot
better.
Hey Jeff, could I send you a few things that would make those tight spots a
little easier?Ive wound up with a couple too many tools I dont need and
would probably benefit you.Ive learned a lot from your videos and
appreciate all the effort you put in them.Keep on truckin.
Jeff, you never cease to amaze me. Great job!! It seems to me you are
working with a wealth of experience. Please keep the great videos coming.
Jeff, a personal question… Do you have a “Didn’t Swear Jar” that you can
take money out of whenever you don’t cuss at a lousy situation?
