Seamus Oreily says:

GM alts shit . give me anything from japan

andrew a says:

ive rebuilt 100s of these

seapeddler says:

What was the life expectancy of the CS130 D alternator, if not tampered
with? Certainly they would not have installed them if they were substandard.

Daniel Armstrong says:

The problems with the CS130D is why I retrofitted my 97 Lumina to a CS144
from a Tahoe. It only required swapping the regulator plug and adding the
remote sense wire.

BigRossNardo says:

i have a 300 apm alt the is not giving out the full amount of power any
more, when i remove the terminals i stay start but when i gas it it does
not increase power. what could be the problem?

ddemier says:

I have a 2003 infiniti G35 coupe with a overcharging @15 amps alternator. I
changed the alternator out and it is still overcharging. Batt indicator
light is still on in the dash. Any ideas what’s going on?

Benjerman Kulandaisamy says:

i think he is talking about the Alternator

Xavier leslie says:

what is the biggest alternator i can cram in my trans am? i don’t think 145
amps will handle my 1900 watt sound system…

lhtbuilder says:

when field testing, is it neccessary to plug in the 4 pin adapter to the
voltage regulator, or do you leave it unplugged and test as described, I
left mine unplugged and read 18Volts when I bypassed the voltage regulator,
is this the correct way to test,or do I need to re-test?

063209dr says:

I would be a bit reluctant to test the coil by ‘sparking’ the terminals as
shown in this video. Especially so since there’s also electronic control
circuitry (regulator) connected to the brush terminal. I don’t think
semiconductor components like being ‘sparked’.

alternatorman says:

Depends on the year. Model years 1997 and earlier with the 5.7L engine can
take a 350A CS144, 1998 and after use the AD244.

alternatorman says:

We actually build the AD244 series alternator up to 200A with an upgraded
internal bridge rectifier, or up to 250A with an external rectifier.

Todd R. Martens says:

Cleanspitter here to wipe up. The santa gift was a 100amp for gaga’s music.
Point stressed is I’m tired of rocking out with a hd 12 vt battery = 7+-
vts and no headlights, let alone music after a smooth distant drive,,,
around the block,,, and reviewing my new copper grill as dentures, which I
caught with my teeth,,,,, not hard to do, only spitting 1,209 rpms, going
7.9375 mph. Copy Sir? Late Help A Man.

alternatorman says:

It depends on the engine in your Firebird. If you have the 5.7L, that Bosch
unit and the AD244 series alternators will fit. If you have the 3.8L, only
another CS130D will work.

weirdo1120 says:

whould anything go wrong if you swap the 105a for a 145a?(96 gmc jimmy sls
4.3L)

sjsingle1 says:

so when can we get a vid on a total repair of a AD244??

cazador954 says:

thank you for take the time on making the video..

seapeddler says:

@moparerrnocar 5 months ago, whew ! Anyway, if you go to the Dixie Electric
website, they have an electronic e-catalog with all the pics. WAI Global
also gives details about all the vehicles you mention. Funny how newer Ford
alternators have a brush holder similar to the CS130d units.

SimonCowellAI says:

Why do the factory service manuals tell you to test the diodes with a
multimeter, they read good with the mutlimeters, but aren’t good, or they
give indeterminate results, because the little .2 amp 9 volt battery in the
multimeter isn’t sufficient to test those big industrial diodes. So how do
you know if a multimeter can test something like that or not? some have
diode functions, but still aren’t suitable for testing something like car
alternators.

kain hall says:

soem racing alts will make more than the normal 14.4 volts…soem make 21
votls..thsi will kill your battery, computer..ETC

51362879 says:

Yes, you can interchange the 244 with the 130D, but you have to change the
belt because the geometry is different. Changing the alternator pulley
won’t help.

Ray jones says:

i have a 1990 chevy 350 stepside dont know wat altinater is in it but i
need to kno wat that flat pug is for and wat it does? i have four other

MrLime lemon says:
