what is the point of the numbers? 86, 87A, 30? is it current or voltage
rating, or just some random numbers

Dexter de Leon says:

My A/C has this ticking sound when I turned it on, it eventually goes off
though, but it is kinda irritating! It’s like a time bomb ticking. Now I
had it fix before and I was told it was only the relays, they said they
switched it from the HEATER,since we don’t have use for it (our Country is
tropical…no snow). It worked! But after a few years my A/C evaporator
needs to be replaced, and the ticking came back. Is the relay really the
culprit here? Hope you can help me. I got a Mitsubishi 1999 Galant VR
A/T.

Alfred Early D Min says:

Hello, if a bulb is changed on one side and another ohm is on the other
side. I think my understanding is if the wires are not think enough to
carry the volts, that wire will catch fire. If bulbs of the same type were
in place for five months and the left side bulb was replaced with another
bulb, would the older bulb that has been in place for 5 months catch fire?
Or do we have a relay matter, sense the right side and total bumper was
replaced. Is there a possible connection matter that would cause a fire?

Dino Tacut says:

Thanks for the tutorial video,,,can you shows us also on how to test relays
by using multi meter?

Bruno Vieira says:

thanks for or time doing this, true is very important the way you connect
the wires if they tin or thick, means homs and amps to the voltage, if you
a tin wire with 12 v high amps in a continuity the wire will get very hot
or burn. very caution with that. good job ( klowny )

o0Orange says:

so if the fuse is 40 amps 30 and 87, how many current amps should be in the
switch 85 and 86 to be able to kick-in 30 and 87’s amps

I like your explanation, thank you…I’m learning

Adrian!!!!!!

But in all honesty informative video.

Is there any danger in touching the relay switch when it’s wired in a motor
vehicle for testing/diagnosis?

orly score says:

Praise God !!! thanks for your very informative video presentation, my

Gavin Izegbu says:

thanks

Tyrone Bates says:

thanks for the information; this will help me lean how to test relays. keep
up the good work.

Tony T says:

I replace the stock relay with a new relay that have tik-tok sound, but it

faster?

your voice sounds like cyrus from trailer park boys :P

Nick Kalashnikov says:

Just a heads up you have your 30 and 87 mixed up if we are talking about
automotive wiring. 30 is input from the battery and is fused, 87 is output
to accessory.

omer abdout says:

hello klowny1969.. you get nice and useful video
and if I may ask how could it be used as fuse when it is directing current
from battery to load by a law source..!!?

Loni Hart says:

Hello
I bought a glass breaking alarm with a very short mouth [Deficient] manual.
It has 6 inputs: AntiTamper outputs [2] Relay [one side” C the other “Nc”
and power [ + and – ]

I tried hooking up the siren to +12v and NC but could not get power. Any
tips? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

brant williams says:

I finally understand how these things work. Thank you.

ARMASARMY says:

if your relay is 30 amps your fuse have to be 30 amps too (always the same
of the relay) also.. it does NOT matter what direction you set the relay…
meaning that 30 and 87 is one side of the relay and 85 and 86 is the other
side (forget about 87A thats for dual functions) So… you can have the
battery in 30 and the load on 87… or the battery on 87 and the load on
30, same thing for 85 and 86, the switch on 85 and the battery on 86 or
viceverse BUT NEVER mix the 2 “sides” of the relay. RULE: if your load lamp, light, fan,
etc is 30 amps, your relay and fuse have to match

mdavenpo says:

Pretty cool. I knew nothing before about relays, now I know enough to be
dangerous.
Serious though, thanks.
