This is a very common issue with C4 Corvette because people use the steering wheel as leverage to hoist themselves out of the car.
For me without the machinist tools or the skill to use them as shown in the video I opted to buy a new steering knuckle (the pins themselves don't wear because they are installed in the softer aluminum knuckle) at about $175.00 and used this video for the disassembly and reassembly instructions.

Nice work, mine feels like it's loose at the bearing at the top of the column . Only the steering wheel moves.
