I open it completely…. Touches all the Soldering Joints. During putting it back, I put Red RTV Silicone in / around anything I see that can lead to " Moisture / Rain ", YES COMPLETELY SEALED!!! So far after that fixed, the Wiper is doing AOK. It's almost a year now and no issues so far :).

THANK YOU!! I thought my wiper pulse board was defective and changed it with a used one that was in working order and it didn't fix the problem. Then I watched your video, replaced the old grease and reinstalled my original board and IT'S WORKING

Marshall115 says:

why didnt you test it on camera after fix?

CTG85 says:

Please help! I got an 01 Blazer and one wiper works, the other tries to work but won't work. The circuit board looks fine, no cracks in the solder.

Great detail. Thanks

Joe Wieser says:

I replaced the circuit board on my 1997 Blazer, and it cost me $19.00. I had tried resoldering the board which worked for a
while. Then the front windshield washer pump quit working and I found out the washer pump was also controlled by the
circuit board. Thanks for all your great videos!

Miss my 94 & 95 silverados…. Was so easy to work on 🙂 and my 95 diesel suburban for that matter too

I replaced my board several years ago and it's starting to give trouble again, so I'm going to try this.  Thanks!

Rocky Mtn Redneck says:

Did that seriously work?!  I've been replacing the circuit board on my trucks!  I feel cheated!  That and I usually do seal the box with silicone.

Hey mossman381, I'm looking back at your 2000 Chevy 1500 build and I was wondering where you got your led taillights? I've looked on eBay and none of them looked exactly like those. If you possible still have a link to them or something that would be really helpful, thanks.

jewllake says:

IIRC I bought a circuit board for my 88 IROC back in 95 for the delay wipers and it was like $75.00. At the time I had no soldering iron or solder. Later i found out how easy it was to fix.

Daniel Pace says:

I would suggest flowing some new solder into the joints just as an extra measure. Solder is cheap and usually a little comes with the iron you buy. Just my 6+ years of soldering experience talking. It would make me feel better about the repair, especially since most solder is not lead based anymore so they are prone to cracking more than the lead based stuff.

Okie Joe says:

My wipers will not turn off sometimes, is this the same issue?

IowaKLR650 says:

Mossman, We have a 1994 K 3500 dually with 36000 miles on it and have been fighting the wipers since new. After throwing away the new original motor we realized that the harness was pulled too tight from the factory, so now (like you) we opened the hood and wiggled the harness and they would work. I will now try your method next time. The sad thing Randy, is that we replaced the new one (factory) with one from salvage cause we did not know. Warranty was up after 20 years lol. You and Rusty be well. Wayne

Every problem my truck has, you've got a video on a fix.
