I have a 96 GMC 1500 , the problem I’m having is my tach and speedometer will stop working and then the transmission wont shift . If I kill it and restart it a time or to they start working again and tranny shifts right . I know it’s electrical but don’t know where to start looking. Any idea’s ?

If your rotor cap won’t come off, gently crack it with a hammer and take it off in pieces. If your rotor won’t come off the shaft and you have tried gentle heat and lube, use a mini grinder and carefully grind it down. make sure filings don’t get down into anywhere they shouldn’t go.

I can’t get my rotor off. It appears to be rusted and stuck. It’s a snap on rotor Gm. Any suggestions? I don’t want to snap the shaft.

I am Having ALL the same problems on my S-10 Blazer and still cant get it going after replacing fuel pump regulator on multiport fuel injector checking igniter pack and spark plugs wires plugs and power control mudule being replaced ……..WHAT AM I DOING WRONG????

EMFinduction says:

The engineering on these newer GM’s are ridiculous. I’ve been through a serious headache with the electrical system on mine. The connections from the battery positive and to ground are more critical than should be on these new vehicles as many modules run off battery power instead of alternator DC output as they used to be. If you lose battery connection, they have been engineered in such a way they will not make it very far before the modules are starved of electrical power. Good luck, bud.

your right it happend to my 2002 blazer
