I can not get my hinges to line up for nothing! I’m literally at the end and stuck…is anybody else having/had trouble lining up the holes to slide the glass back on??

User90 00 says:

Yep thanks for the vid

Mr. Nashypants says:

Good stuff bro…I’m about to repair mine which has actually been replaced once before. Original owner of a 2005 Z71 Tahoe w/270k miles.

Scott Martin says:

Why didn't you just put JB Weld on the other hinge where it was starting to crack, it probably would make it last a lot longer

Thanks for the vid. Trying the repair this weekend.

SocioS66 says:

Mine just broke so I like the vid and comments sure help a lot. Now it’s time to try the repair for myself

JB weld will hold for a while but it will eventually fail and the glass will fall off and shatter on the road, ask me how I know.? Ye can get an aftermarket glass from Safelight. No need to pay $1000 from a Chevy dealer.

AlkaPro says:

What about gorilla glue

leavemealone says:

Problem i found, after i broke my glass is… u need to make sure your hinges are placed EXACTLY where the old one's were, there is NO forgiveness on the alignment of those "pegs"

leavemealone says:

the only thing he failed on was the "keep u updated" part, I..like many others, want to know how long it lasted? From the comments i guess I'm going to use the 3m 5200

symbolQ says:

hows the repair holding up?

Why not buy a new hinges?

Scott Dawson says:

Hi, yes I replaced my air shocks 5 months ago, and one glass hinge broke off a few weeks ago. Tried the JB WELD 5 minute set up stuff (hadn't seen your vid). It held for 3 days with air shocks on. Think I will try the 3M 5200 next. It is very strong on my boat jobs.

Sam Sen says:

7:40 Bigly Wrong. Cody was actually helping you with mowing!!! 🙂
Thanks man.
