Did any of you guys who did this fix use GM or aftermarket injectors? I found complete sets of GM injectors but none of them are the same p/n as the factory injector. They look exactly the same….. are they ok to use? or different flow rates?

Joseph Randazzo says:

The problem is consistent with GDI engines because the injector tip is inside the combustion chamber and gets carbon deposits clogging or interfering with the stream. Thats why 2 things are imperative .. Routinely use GDI cleaning through intake manifold, use top tier fuel and a fuel additive like Chevron Techron Fuel injector cleaner regularly.
It should be noted that its usually not the injector thats bad its most likely the nozzles are dirty. Most injectors will clean up and can be reused if done right.

zae Camp says:

Have a 2019 Silverado having the same issue Would this cause the service brake and esc message as well as the misfire?

Art Segovia says:

I tried techron fuel injector cleaner, royal purple, and nothing. I used liqui moly and the probable went away its been 4 days so far. Some have had luck with techron fuel injector . I tried bk44 and nothing. Liqui moly worked for me. They sell it at any auto parts store. Goodluck and ill keep yall informed if anything.

aWatchmanOnTheWall says:

Ok , are you just spraying them with wd 40 and putting back in or are you putting in new ones?? Was confused

William Breeland says:

I have a 2016 Sierra 5.3. The dealer said injectors 1,3 and 8 were bad, but best to replace all of them. That I agree with.

GM Tech-link says I have 3 different injectors installed, low flow, normal flow, and high flow.

I read on GM tech-link, that if the injector order were mixed up, the normal flow injector could be installed for all 8 injectors, but you could have fuel trim and emission problems.

Does it really make a difference?

Brett Lasky says:

I have been trying to find the location of the idle air control valve and I'm having trouble. Any advise?

Buddyrebel Garcia says:

Are the injectors all non nominal? Aren’t they all suppose to be different for each injector?

Vega 1 says:

My Dealer replaced 3 injectors for a cold start rough idle on on 6.2L 2017 a couple weeks ago now i have a improper air fuel balance and they say all 8 injectors are bad even the 3 brand new ones. I use primarily chevron gas. After all my transmission issues (updates, re-learns and rumble strip shake from bad tranny oil) there is no way my silverado will be reliable after the warranty is up.

Making this look easy man

Christopher Gilbert says:

I only got the P050D code. Is it still the injectors?

Scott Borges says:

I have a 14 Silverado and I had that cold start ruff idle. I’ve changed my injectors and not getting the code anymore but now I have multiple misfires and bank 2 running rich. Can you let me know? Thanks

Mateo Estrada says:

I have the same codes Whats the names of everything i would need to replace

BiggTribes says:

Had 5th cylinder misfire, replaced injector because it wasn’t working and still didn’t fix it, seems like it may be more serious than i thought

Art Segovia says:

Link to buy injectors?

Michael Strunk says:

Everyone should reference this Special Coverage Adjustment # N182198000 released by GM! They are aware of this issue and are fixing it at 100% cost in 13 states, but are refusing to fix certain vins that are having the same exact issue. I spent $2k fixing this and the dealership told GM it was the same issue, but they are refusing to pay. 2017 Silv. 1500 5.3…. same year, model, and engine as the ones being covered. Call GM at 1-800-462-8782!!

Zack Tucker says:

Having trouble getting the fuel rail off. Anything you recommend would be helpful. Thanks

ali almalki says:

Well done
I have these trouble codes ( p0580, p1553 & p15f6) in my car Tahoe 2015 ltz can you help my please

Art Segovia says:

It's should be a recall since they told him "all" chevy trucks with this injectors are doing it. I have that code and my truck has 34k miles thus far. Another think if there recommending that bg cleaner i can just do that instead of replacing them ….?

Anthony Macneil says:

Amsoil PI will give the same results

Emily Pena says:

What size is the low pressure fuel line size

68spc says:

Man, I just had a conversation with a dealer tech, he said just use Chevron Techron regularly and it will clean the injectors and it won’t set the codes….

James Bond says:

I keep hearing that the S rail needs to be replaced as well when doing injectors due to leaks if reused. Is this true ? Have you had any fuel leaks since ? Please confirm

No way in hell all 8 of them failed at the same time.

OneLow_Rado says:

Part number on injector boot seal?

BOB! B-O-B says:

Has anyone tried fixing it with a chemical injector cleaning? I used to use MotorVac equipment that worked incredibly well on all vehicles, especially GM 5.3L trucks that always had this issue.

Victor Guerra says:

How much is the total that it costs. I have a Chevrolet silverado z71 but it has the code p050d
