2005 – 2010 DIY GM Front Disc Brake Pad Rotor Replacement Chevrolet Cobalt Pontiac G5 Saturn Ion

2005 – 2010 DIY GM Front Disc Brake Pad Rotor Replacement Chevrolet Cobalt Pontiac G5 Saturn Ion

This brake job maintenance video goes over checking and replacing the front disc brake pads and mounting hardware along with the related prep and lubrication tasks involved. You can see exactly the level of brake disassembly required in order to replace the front disc brake rotors as well if you need to do that (and a reminder to turn them). We will be using genuine GM ACDelco replacement brake parts in this DIY video and all part numbers are provided.

The vehicle illustrated is a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS sedan. The procedure would be the same for the Pontiac G5 (Pontiac Pursuit), and should be similar for the Saturn Ion as well as other GM vehicles of this vintage that have a similar front disc brake design and use this same ACDelco pad kit and rotors across model years 2005 2006 2007 2008 and 2010.

I found that. It think that is my speedometer. The abs has an o ring seal and a keeper bolt. I’ll send a pic.

I'm working on my 97 2 door Tahoe 4wd. there is only one rear ABS sensor and its somewhere on the transfer case or transmission. Can you help with the location? And can you confirm the speed sending unit is not the same part or shared part?
