This 2008 Ford F150 with the triton 5.4 3 valve had a misfire after it warmed up and I figured out it was on cylinder number four. If you know anything about these spark plugs, they have a bad habit of breaking off. I used some Kroil and some elbow force and was able to get it out of there!
You sir are blessed
Timing chains, phasers, coils, chain tensioners, oil pumps, plugs seizing in the head, alternator causing interference with the ignition system, connection issues with the injectors, brother those motors are nightmares, there's nothing good about them
Didn't listen to Ford's recommendation about the 100,000 mile plugs. Pull them every 50,000 miles and replace. I had a 2009 and did this and never had a plug get stuck. Traded it in with 250,000 miles on it. Cam chain and phaser problems only affected less than 1% of the engines out there.
horrible engines
The best way to get these plugs out in one piece is by using impact gun.
A shot and a little sniff of that KROil never hurts either.
I mix 50/50 Acetone and ATF, pour a little in each plug with the engine a little warm, wait 10 minutes and they come out like butter…change the oil after you do this too.
