I have a 2008 Jeep Patriot and when I drive it doesn’t want to accelerate and the engine kinda vibrates as if the car was idle, and the engine and bolt light shows up on the dash…. can somebody tell me if this a a throttle body control problem ?

Ramon Hernandez says:

Also, check the points and condenser.

Frank Estrada says:

Scotty quick question? What’s your take on the mk4 VW GLI?

Jay Garcia says:

Having your car die on you while driving at various speeds and times is a serious problem. My Toyota Camry would die if I let it idle. I think the maf sensor was dirty or just stopped working. I was on the freeway bumper to bumper so I had to keep starting my car Everytime we moved lol not fun

Suspicious Citrus says:

Nissan Just wait you drive it.

the CVT transmission will go out.

Suspicious Citrus says:

Jeep, have fun out there.

because you were left stranded in the wilderness so you might as well enjoy it.

joe toronto says:

FYI the red lock is called a CPA Connector position assurance

Neil Martin says:

I would use a impact gun and give it the two blips and a blap torque. Makes the job go allot faster.

JJ Luv says:

Samson phone, I got to get one of those ha ha Ha!

Same thing happened to me… I had to buy an IAC for my G20… dealership price was less than aftermarket

It may just need a cleaning and not a replacement. My friends canyon threw a maf code. It didn't have one so I took off the throttle body, cleaned it and it's been fine ever since.

That engine exterior needs a good washing, and something to some it up.

Justin Thomson says:

Scotty actually works well , in this video. Does he really just work from home.

Of course, in the 1960s I replaced a throttle cable and a clutch cable, on my wife’s Morris 1000 , in England.
Things were so much easier then.

Mike McK says:

Scotty how about doing a video about the Ford EcoBoost electronic vacuum pump and how they fail.
