I suggest changing your gloves after cleaning everything and star over with new gloves, else you contaminate the components reversing what you just did. Also if installing brand new calipers don't use the old pads to push in the pistons. The pistons on new calipers are already pushed in but in the event you have to do it, don't contaminate your new caliper and pads with old brake dust.
This guy is the only one that shows how to install all 3 brake clips, great video and great mechanic !!!!
If I don't put a brake retainer clip will my brake become weaker?
How important is the bracket on top of caliper? What is it’s function?
This is the best video out that shows how to. Change Ford F-150 front brakes. Loved will attempt to do it myself.
How do you put these retainer clips on a 2000 chevy blazer!
I broke my caliper piston screw and the other screw keeps spinning. What should I do?
Very clear in every way….thank you
8:04 I found that this caliper piston hardware bracket will interfere with the outward movement of the pistons, so grind the all 4 protruding legs down and leave about 1/4 of an inch otherwise when the pistons move out they will snag on the hardware. On F150's this bracket needs to be almost flat. IMO it's a bad design.
Nice teaching
What are the bolts called that attach the bracket to the car?? (Not the pins & bolts) I can’t find any for my car. Called junkyards and hardware stores and no one seems to know what I’m talking about.
I like how this guy explained things you should have more videos with him.. if so link thanks
Best video on Youtube covering this topic. Thank you for uploading it.
