The Ford Engineer that came up with this needs a slap.

JMB4000 says:

Why in the fuck would they make it so difficult to get to the air filter

Michael Bloodgood says:

Holy shit that's complicated

KC LEACH says:

why is it so difficult to get to?

Raging Eagle says:

Helped so much at work! Perfect video

Does this apply to the 2016 fusion hybrid?

joseph burtulato says:

Thanks. My dealership wanted to charge 347 dollars to do that and the engine filter. Im kind of glad my car is out of warranty, that pretty much did not cover much anyway. Now i can take it to my mechanic. Who maybe a bit expensive, but id rather pay for quality work and not be overcharged like at the dealership.

Mark Mad says:

The video was VERY helpful, could not have done this without it. Glad they even mentioned the 7MM nut driver. I did not fully remove the side panel, I just pulled out the portion adjacent to the glove box, and left it clipped near the front portion toward the windshield. Ford needs a better design! Old filter had an UNBELIEVABLE bunch of debris from chipmunks that visit my garage, wish I could upload that pic. 🙂

Thank you for posting I just changed mine out following the instructions exactly like in the video I was carefully poping off the panels because it just plastic aside from that u be fine following the instructions in the video #thankyou

Andrew Byers says:

Thank you! This helped out to replace the cabin air filter.

Mike Goldberg says:

Be careful not to break off the plastic clips holding the air filter slot cover (2:56). And don't drop the screws into the depths of the compartment :[

C.O.T.D says:

This is really f.. up. I used to have an Azera 2011 and it was soooo easier. No bolts. Great video though

teamhex says:

Ford needs to design this better. I shouldn't have to remove that many screws to get to something like an air filter. Some cars have it where you can pinch the sides of the glove box to gain access.
