Thanks for this – I thought those christmas trees, as you call them, were a two part fixing. One part that has to be installed in the hole in the metal work to receive the peg from the board that forms the back of the seat. I find that they frequently break when you try to separate them from the back board of the seat. How did you separate the back off the seat frame without them breaking?
