Got a rejection sticker for my e brakes not working properly, going to
attempt an adjustment and hope for no need of a replacement as it’s a bit
beyond my skill but this video will help a ton in finding the e brake
adjustment. thank you.

1A Auto Parts says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to replace
the parking brakes on that vehicle. If you have a service manual, it should
be covered in there for you. We carry the Haynes manuals on our website.

Eric Serna says:

Thank you for the video Brad. Unfortunately, my wife road the parking
brake. What is the procedure on changing the parking brake pads? Is it a
real pain in the neck?

raughn3 says:

what about bleeding the brakes?

newshutr says:

Thanks so much. Although I didn’t buy the parts from 1aauto.com, the how to
guide helped me, a mechanically challenged man, to change my brakes and
save a great deal of money..

1A Auto Parts says:

Since the caliper is never removed from the brake like, you will not have
to bleed the brakes.

HI Brian, we currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how
to do the front brakes on a 96 Mercury Grand Marquis. The basics should be
very similar to the procedure shown in the video. We carry the brake and
rotor kits on out website with free shipping. Here’s a link to them on our
website. Hope this helps you out.

you know what type piston the 96 grand Marquis has changing my rotors for
the first time by my self thank you Brian

Brendon Harris says:

Thanks… was having a terrible time getting the rotor off the Jeep… E
brake loosening worked perfectly. I was having a heck of a time. A few
hammer blows and it came right off.

Mark1944089 says:

Do u have to down the Gas Tank to install one of the Charcoal Canister
Vapor hose? I know the other one go to the Intake hose thru the frame…

1A Auto Parts says:

@Parrotluver2 We typically do not get into an upgrade such as this. You may
want to check an automotive forum for your vehicle to see if any
enthusiasts with the same vehicle, have performed this type of an upgrade.

factorfakeeeee says:

Please respond and let me know what to do

1A Auto Parts says:

1A Auto Parts says:

We replaced the pads because of uneven wear. This can happen from a
sticking calipers or poorly lubricated slides.

TheMontmont89 says:

Thanks for the tips…it was a breeze after watching

Brad Simons says:

I appreciate your time to help this backyard mechanic by making a video.

Phillip Woods says:

I did this and now my ABS light came on. Didn’t replace rotors just pads
cause the rotors still looked really good. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

1A Auto Parts says:

If the ABS light came on after do a brake job, you might have to have the
system reset. When pressing the caliper pistons in, the system can
sometimes get jumbled up from the fluid being pushed past the distribution
block.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to check the brakes first to see if they locked up for some
reason.

Parrotluver2 says:

thanks for the Reply Mike Re: Removing my 04 headrests my P71 Looks alot
Like this one I Don’t understand why they only Put Single Piston Discs on
the Back of interceptors any way to Beef them up to Duals what’s all
involved in Doing that Conversion? I Just Put Double Slotted n Vented
Rotors and Ceramic Pads on all around and the front Rotors are much heavier
why is that? can Suggest a Better Rear Dual Discs Setup? by brands ? plz
thanks

Parrotluver2 says:

thanks for the answer mike hope I Can do the upgrade there’s not much in
the way of aftermarket stuff or mod things for P71’S or crown vics only
mustangs but I Finally found out why ford didn’t put the 5.4 L in.. instead
of the silly under powered 4.6.L Because it wouldn’t fit because of the
windshield wiper motor lmao on that one I love fords after being a chevy
guy for 30 yrs fords are built very well and simple to fix and Last

Awx0mexd says:

1A Auto Parts says:

If it has rear brake disks, the procedure may be different and you may need
different tools.

Parrotluver2 says:

? Email me the info plz on sites brands what’s all involved to do it my
comment below explains how I Feel bout the difference in stopping Quality
after going to all Double slotted+vented Rotors and Ceramic pads I want
stop on a dime brakes like a chrysler 300 i Rented.. wow you barely touch
them and you stop on a dime that’s what i want @.1 thanks

bryhutch19 says:

Do you leave the E brake engaged during this?

1A Auto Parts says:

You will want the gas about halfway that way there is no chance of having
an issue with gas coming out of the tank.
