There should be a couple of screws on the end of the door that hold it in place, you would also need to disconnect any rods or cables from it on the inside of the door. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Quick question, do you recommend greasing anything up? When I removed the original regulator, there was a little bit of grease in random parts.
If you are having issues getting the window to come up and down, you should attempt to remove the motor, if you cannot access the motor bolts, you will have to cut the metal cable to free up the window so it can slide up and down.

I found that I didn’t have to remove the glass completely.
Once I released it from the holders, I simply pushed it up in the frame a few inches and wedged a piece of card between the glass and rubber channel to stop it slipping back down. I also added a strip of Duct tape from the glass to top of door frame for extra support!
The tutorial is indeed excellent, it would have saved me some brain-work if I had watched it first. However, the way to release the handle cover is through and access hole under the handle. Stick a small screwdriver through the hole and pry the cover off. This will prevent scratching up the door handle.

My ’01 Focus has the front passenger door locked and cannot be unlocked. A friend pulled too hard on the exterior handle and broke it, so now I’m stuck unable to open the door at all. I have a Ford Focus -01 1.6l motor where the window regulator all of a sudden didn´t worked when i pushed the button. No grinding sound or anything at all, it just happened. I can hear a klicking from a relay, which seem to be inside the dorr, when i push the button but nothing happens so im clueless, maybe the motor?
Will the panel with screws and such be pretty much exactly the same for my car then for the car in the video?
