Thanks for the video. Mine (2002 focus ZX3) had a 10mm bold instead of a
13mm bolt, it also had another bolt toward the front of the door which was
fastened with a torque screw,
It should be the same procedure or pretty close to what is shown. Hope it
helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Thanks, that was a clear explanation
Great video. Helped me a lot today. But, I needed a 10mm socket, and not a
13mm socket.
Nice video for install the Side rear mirror on Ford Focus.
Thanks for checking us out. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-339
Once you remove the trim panel you should be able to see the bolts that
hold the mirror onto the door.
Thx for postin!!! I needed a 10mm socket:) & t20 driver:) for a 2001 ZX3
Very useful thanks for saving me a fortune .
man i undid the leave and i don’t see a bolt
Same with me. Mine is a 2001.
ThankYOU! Last night I hit a deer and the only thing it did to my car was
knock the mirror off….I need a new mirror glass but at least it doesnt
have to be held on by the wire and a clothes hanger anymore….
i have a 2004 ford focus.. my driver’s side mirror is hanging by the
wire..I had the mirror replaced a year and a half ago, and I’m assuming the
bolt wasn’t tightened enough and became lose eventually falling off. Is
there a way I can just buy the bolts somewhere?? If so, what size?
Thanks for posting this! Is it basically the same process for a manual
mirror?
We carry them for a lot less than that on our website 1aauto.com with free
shipping in the lower 48 states. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
I’m not seeing the bolt whats so ever. Got a 2001 Ford Focus SE
Thank you for posting this video! A quick question: I have an ’03 focus,
but I don’t have power mirrors. Is the process relatively the same? What
adjustments would I need to make to the directions?
We currently do not have an auto repair video on this particular repair.

It would be the same process. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
For the heck of it, if it just fell off check the inside of the door or
cover to see if the bolts are loose in there. If they are not, you may be
able to buy a few bolts from the dealer.
What about the passenger side?
Hi Thank you for this very helpful video. Living in the UK I found I needed
a 10 mm socket, not 13mm.
I can’t get the mirror dis connected from the socket.. its right down in
side the car attached to some sort of clip thing but it won’t move its a 03
focus any tips
This video gave me a basic idea of how the install was gonna go, but the
actual process had a few important differences. First, the bolt used a 10mm
socket, not a 13 mm. Also there is a screw that is to the bottom right that
takes a 1/8″ hex. (I ripped the old mirror off this and had a little time
removing the remaining plastic.) Also, the lead required some maneuvering
to get the new one in. I was easier just cut the old one to get it out. In
the end, however, it looks and works great.
Nice video — very helpful stuff! But my 2001 Focus ZTS took an 11 mm
socket not a 13. And there is also a screw that goes through the door to
the front of the mirror that needs to addressed.
The wire might be stuck on something. It might require you to remove the
door panel to gain access to the connection and free it up so you can plug
the new one in.
I have a 2008 ford focus. Is there a difference in the installation from
the 2004? Thanks.
Thanks!
