What’s that lock switch thing next to the door handle? Not in the handle, I
know what that one is, but the one before it… I have a UK one, it has a
different shape handle and I don’t have that one mine. And also, my door
panel is much larger, fits more in it and I have a clock above the stereo
which you don’t seem to have here… Some odd differences really, seems as
though it’s for no reason.

Yes, before opening the door panel, I could not move the plastic button
that locks the door, it was stuck in the unlock position. But now that the
cable is off the door handle, and the panel is sitting in my back seat, the
keyless remote locks and unlocks the door. I can watch the cable go in and
out of the sleeve. Does this still sound like the actuator? Thanks for the
help.
07 Focus, power locks, the problem is the keyless remote cannot lock the
door. The door stays in the unlocked position. I removed the inside door
handle, removed the cable that attaches to the plastic handle and now the
keyless remote can lock and unlock the door. I dont see what’s wrong with
the plastic handle the cable lives in. Want to share any info?
Unfortunately we do not have a video for the outside handle at this time.
In the video there are 2 switches for the windows and then the single
switch fort he power locks all next to the door handle.
We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to do
this; however you may want to check out Crutchfieldcom they have a forum to
ask questions and are more on the car stereo side of things. They’re a

@1aauto The Up and Down Speed are normal, no problem at all, just when i
let the window half way, and try to close de door it get stock with the
thing that avoid that the door open too much. The problem is in both front
doors.-

You should be able to reach inside of the door and pull on the rod (or
cable) that attaches to the latch which grabs the striker at the end of the
door to keep it closed. That should pop the door open for you, so that you

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows this particular
repair. If you have a Chiltons or a Haynes manual it should show you how to
remove it. Hope this helps you out.
Once the switch was removed is sounds like that the actuator started to
work. If the switch is stuck in the unlock position, it may be that the
switch is bad then. Hope this helps you out.

With roller windows, you have to remove the C-clip behind the handle to
remove the handle from the regulator.
It should be really close to this video. You should be able to apply these
basic steps to your vehicle.

up the windows manually!! So I got stuck there, and the door will not come

question; do i need to take off the door panel to replace a side mirror on
this vehicle? from the looks of it, it seems like a no. But, i tried to
take that panel off right at the mirror, and it didn’t seem to want to come
off without breaking, so i stopped. = X for you it just seemed to come off
effortlessly..
@hugospectrum4v If they are going down very slowly, you could try to spray
the rubber weatherstrip around the motor with silicon spray, and also
grease the window regulator track with lithium white grease.Hope this helps.
If it’s also having an issue unlocking the door with the switch, then it
may be a bad door lock actuator. Hope this helps you out.
I have a question for you… i own a ford focus 2004, 5 doors hatchback and
the problem is that when both front doors electric window are at the half
way open i can´t close the door, i remove the panel from both doors and i
noticed that the windows hit the brake hinge or w/e its call….
you do you the same thing on a sedan model? or are there modifications that
are needed?

My “01 Ford Focus SE..driver’s side door will not open from outside.I’ve
got the door panel off etc..but it isn’t a cable problem. On the interior
latch mechanism, I can see a piece of metal has snapped off…now what?
