This video is about how to replace a typical mechanical fuel pump. Airtex is the only U.S. automotive aftermarket manufacturer that designs and builds electrical AND mechanical fuel delivery system components, including modular reservoir assemblies, electric fuel pumps, mechanical fuel pumps and in-tank sender and hanger assemblies, for a full range of car, truck, fleet and specialty vehicles.
But you didn't show how much of an issue it is to install, more was the motor inframe, like most would be if you broke down while traveling.
super helpful thanks broseph!!!
just bought one of these
for my 69 galaxie 500 390ci. now to install. thx for the video.
How about clamping the inlet line BEFORE REMOVING IT .. LOL.
thanks men, for the tip, regards since guanajuato Mexico.
Just gonna let you know that I also have a mechanical fuel pump on my '84 Ford Ranger with the V6 2.8L (S code) Cologne engine in it and you helped me out a bunch with this video. Thank you so much!!
Help. I have removed the old one but when I insert the new one I don't feel the resistance from the cam. How do I orientate the cam?
I am having a hell of a time getting to the mounting bolts on my 74 F250 360. Sure looks easy here, I can hardly reach them with a finger let alone a tool.
is it just a bolt on part? do i need to make any special adjustments? like fuel pressure?
The Mr Gasket junk pump is in need of replacement on my 72 F100. I see that there is already a Carter (maybe) pump attached to the block, so guessing I can just run some fuel line from that to the carb? Do I need to to do anything special before starting the engine? I need to get one of those outlet attachments you got there…
