I have a question, have a 89 ford f150 van with tilt steering wheel. I
fixed my lower actuator on my tilt column the last couple days and when i
put it all back together I now have an issue where the turn signals stick
that moves up and down is up again the metal house that it comes out of and
It cannot disengage the turn signal when i turn the wheel with me moving it
back into the off position. Also, will blow the fuss when I turn the wheel
too

MrPhilosophunculist says:

you rock man….too cold to fix the ignition….but it now starts with the
pliers….Thx…nice redneck fix.

Joey Kay says:

Buddy, you saved my Bronco, and I am forever in your debt!

VK7001.P says:

so what is wrong is the key spins 360 and just keeps spinning?

HaHaHaquote says:

The dash lights will sometimes come on but when I turn it to start it it
sounds like the solenoid is bad but I know it isn’t

HaHaHaquote says:

Dome* and then sometimes absolutely nothing happens

HaHaHaquote says:

When I hit the brakes the dime light goes off but when I turn the ignition
the dash board is dim then I try to start it then everything goes off I
replaced the solenoid and the ground yesterday

Max Parrish says:

I have an 89 also and my problem was a little different the actual ignition
switch on the column had slid down and would not actuate my starter. I went
through a lot before i figured this out. fortunately the part was
relatively inexpensive and only took a few to install. unfortunately i also
need to replace the lock cylinder. what position does the key have to be in
to hit the release on the lock cylinder?

Hey I have a question, I fixed my lower actuator on my tilt column last
week and when i put it all back together I now have an issue where the turn

comes out of and It cannot disengage the turn signal when i turn the wheel

happening because I’m lost on this one and I’m about to drop another column
in this truck and throw the old one off a cliff.

jdeerem says:

LA trailblazer says:

This is amazing….had the same issue on my dad’s 88 F150 XLT Lariat and
before I spent 250 on the whole steering column like the mechanic said I
needed to do I got curious and found the part listed and then found this
video….the part was 20 bucks…INCREDIBLE!!! OH….and my dad has the
exact same seat covers on his truck…hilariious! Thanks for the vid!

nonamesleftorwhat says:

Hi gotta say like your how to vids good stuff, anyway question i have sorta
the same problem on my bronco except i can turn it to the on position and
get the radio and accesories woking but no crank for engine, i just use 2
long screwdrivers and cross the solinoid to start. so is this the same
problem you thnk or the cylinder lock itself? so how’s the brown come
coming again, what a piss off eh

weldcrazy10 says:

usually because they had towing packages

ThaRyano says:

I like your video, but it is how to replace the ignition actuator arm, NOT
the switch. And there is a way to install it correctly without modifying it
or taking apart the whole steering column. It was pretty easy actually!
Thanks for the vid!

stydel311 says:

have u noticed that everyone on youtube has seat covers in their trucks
like this that r like urs almost

yup that would be pretty typical of this problem, Id say you got the same
thing going on
