This same repair sequence happens when hardwired smoke detectors in a home go bad. Even professional electricians choose to simply replace all, arguing that it is hard to tell which one is bad and others are soon to go bad as well. Philosophically, the idea of throwing three good sensors or detectors into our mountain of trash is hard to swallow. Engineers who work in the industry spend very little time thinking or even caring about end of life issues. I wonder if there may be a way to tell in retrospect which sensor was bad….
Could you do a vid on how to fix the security pad on the door?
I cant belive that thing is still running any ford i had i cant get past 150k without the transmission failing
haven't heard the one on my 2002 Ex beep in about 6 years
Hi sir. HELP!!! I got the wrong oil on my rear axle. Driving for 2 months now. 75W-90. I supose to have 75W-140. I have add around a halv litre on my rear axle, after i change the wheelbearings. I will change all the oil very soon. Will this damage anything????
Do y'all still have the 97 Silverado?
Great Video….
Better make sure all your brake lines have no rust. 20 people died in a stretch excursion limo upstate ny here cause of a rusty axle brake line.
Sometimes these small details can drive owners crazy but it can be done with a little know how
I just cleaned out the connectors really well put some Dielectric grease and they work good as new
That is a very handy feature to have in a Ford excursion, didn't know they have them back in 2001 though.
not so cheap on newer color coded ford bumpers, think i would have found the bad one instead of being a parts changer
Nice to see you Daniel! Nice Video Thank You !
Same thing happened on my '07 Suburban, a sensor went bad so the system stays off. They were pretty pricey (genuine GM made by Bosch in Mexico) so I only bought one. I was by myself and didn't have a way to figure out which one was the bad one, so I guessed which one it was and replaced it. No good, so I tried another one and replaced it with the one I had just removed (yes, gambling that only one went bad since I didn't want to buy any more of them). No good. Guess number three was wrong too. With only one left I was worried that the system would not work (i.e. more than one bad one), but it fixed the job. So I only bought one sensor, but replaced (swapped) all four of them to fix it. Perfect fix and it has gone for many years since without trouble. You really need these in large vehicles, and newer ones that you can no longer see out the back of due to the high sills…
