Hi Scotty! I used to hear my stepdad complain about gas mileage in his 1976 Caddy Sedan DeVille, with the 500 c.i. [8.4ltr.] V-8 in it. I'd tell him "what did you expect with that engine??" He talked about putting a SMALLER engine in it!!!! I was a weekend mech, so I did a little research on that. Told him with the torque that thing needed, smallest he could go would be a 472 c.i. Caddy engine!! He was NOT amused!!! Only car I ever drove that you could WATCH the gas gauge go down just normal driving it!!! Nice hunk of iron, though. Thanks Scotty!

What about that 6 cylinders turbo they use for all F150 and the big Expedition are they going to be a problem too? You covered that Expedition but you did not say anything about the issue it will come out,Isn't that is the same engine design? Just 6 not 4 cylinders?

Turbo 4cy engines are mated best with compact hatchback cars. But in a large SUV . No way in hell.
Aren't this model of explorers recalled too because of some exhaust fumes getting inside the cabin?. Also, crash tests in this model of explorer and 2019 where marginal ratings, scary stuff. I wouldn't pay 500 for this pos.
I have a 2015 ford escape 2.0 EcoBoost with 126,356 miles on it and runs great, no oil burning or anything i change my oil and filter every 5 thousand miles!

But with the V6, you have to rebuild the entire front of the engine just to replace a $40 water pump because it's turned by the timing chain… resulting in a $1400 repair bill.
Get a vinyl wrap instead of re-painting!
