stephen strange says:

I did a how to for a website many years ago for this issue I found if you
get the grips on the pin then get a big screw driver between the teeth and
lever on the gearbox it pulls the pin out really easy

Russ Renshaw says:

If the pin breaks does the box have to come out? Or can it be tipped to one
side to drill it out. thanks Russ

Corey Parkes says:

see my comment to jason ok wd40 very helpful

Corey Parkes says:

yea mate i had bruised fingers and it did take some doing, i was just proud
we did it and not the garage who wanted to charge 360 pounds including
labour, i never want to do it again, but if i have to atleast i have an
idea how to now lol , nice one mate cheers

Edward Tomlin-Browne says:

Did you snap the plastic arm off the sensor to get at the clip?

rickster99uk says:

Great short video, I have removed the pin from my sensor, 1.8zetec mk 1 and
cannot get the sensor out, is it easier to remove sensor from above or
below the car?, is there any screw/thread/lock or do I just twist and
wiggle it free? – would love a response. Rick. What would happen if I
continue to drive the car without the pin to secure the sensor ?

cumaroz28 says:

i stopped watching the second i heard you say a focus has a carburetor

Beck Becks says:

About to tackle this today ! Wish me luck and either way cheers for taking
the time to make this video it has been a big help already – Peace and Love

jason rodber says:

Great effort bud! Thanks for taking the effort to record this process!

Damien Rios says:

what should i oil the pin with? transmision fluid? wd-40? or engine oil?
sorry if this question is stupid, im a budding mechanic

Mitchell Swaine says:

man this damn thing is buggin me, I have managed to get a grip on the pin
but it wont budge!! I have mashed up my little finger tring to pull it out
with plyers but its not moving, any help would be great ………….

Corey Parkes says:

well done mate, its as easy as that when you follow my guide, and i say
guide because it can be done from above or underneath, sounds like you did
as i did and had a great result, again well done wilbanat i wish someone
else will film there way how they did it…

Jason Colman says:

That’s not looking forward to the bill.

Corey Parkes says:

follow your air filter pipe, the big one to where it is joined by a huge
jubilee clip near engine take that clip off then look inside the bit
attached to the engine, you should see a little pin looking thing pointing
downward, and on the outside it should have a plugin, be very carefull when
cleaning it, it must be grease/dust free i hope thats the right thing iam
talking about LET ME KNOW OK

youbold3 says:

Thanks, just done the job but from the underneath, and yes it was a
bastard, thanks for the video. Karl

Corey Parkes says:

@cumaroz28 come on grow up now and you can watch it 10000 times your view
dont count with ignorance m8 simple

Corey Parkes says:

if you have any problems add me fb for instant chat ok corey british and
good luck

Corey Parkes says:

yes yes nice to see the back of the old sensor as a said it was a pain in
the butt but the same way i got it out i just describe it to you guys, well
i know its my way of doing it from now on, well done again dark angel well
done

youbold3 says:

No you do not have to cancel the fault code, but if you pass Coventry, call
in and I will cancel the code for it for free, if your EML in on it will
soon go off.

Corey Parkes says:

HEA RICK yes just keep rocking it while twisting left and right, dont rush
it and trust me it will pop out, i saw a mates one broke inside and he just
used a small pointed thing and slowly dug it out, and yes its better to do
it from above, you can drive with the pin out but not recomended, it wont6
just fall out take in mind how hard it is to get out, let me know how you
do ok big up good luck

Corey Parkes says:

YOU CAN ED, BUT ITS GOOD NOT TO BREAK ANY PART WHILE TAKING IT OUT AS IT
MAKES YOU HAVE LESS TO HOLD,ps its the old one you breaking so by all means
you can, , read the description at top, see what i did ok , well done to
attempt it

Corey Parkes says:

i took pin out from under the car then took the sensor out from the top was
hard but i did it
