DIY Replace FOB Batteries 2016-18 Ford Mustang or Explorer FOB Key

How to replace your Battery FOB key from your 2017 Mustang or 2017 Explorer. Very easy. Enjoy my video.

Note: 2018 model is a little different. There’s no pull down Tab in the back. Battery # CR2450 3V.

Thank you. I removed my two batteries but did not mark or separate them from the ones I opened.
Good thing I still had the packages and confirmed I had replaced Panasonic with Energizer batteries,

I started making the same mistake you did when reassembling.
I paused and was at first confused. I realized the key slot should be facing up and the battery had to face down.
Flipped and all was fine. No more low battery warning.
