always do 1 wire at a time so u dont hook them up wrong.
no tools required unless you want to move the air intake tube out of your way then all you need is a screwdriver.

If the pick-up coil goes bad, replace the distributor. You'll end up messing things up trying to fix it.
u got the 300/460 intake tube?
To check the timing chain, get #1 on TDC on compression stroke on 0. Turn the engine only in the direction of rotation. Mark the position of the rotor on the distributor body. Turn the engine backwards until the rotor just moves. Check the distance on the damper from 0 for degrees it moved. If the crank moved too much, the chain is worn.
Where is the module on this truck? Can't find
hey man is there any way you can get in touch with me about your firing order. I'm having a lot of trouble and this would be a great help.
Simple and to the point. Love it!
Appreciate it. What led you to replace this? Were there any symptoms that your truck was exhibiting? I've got a 79 F250 that won't crank/start. Replacing and troubleshooting one thing after the other. Thinking of doing this next. Already swapped ignition switch, starter solenoid, battery is brand new, battery cables. Starter isn't spinning or making noise so I don't suspect it to be an issue. Down to this, or maybe bad wiring. Let me know. Going to continue to research as well. Would love to diagnose w/o taking to a mechanic.
