Juan Daniels says:

Will the airbags still function now that you removed the large green
connector? Looking at your fix, I’m trying to figure out they have that at
all, it seems like a part that is unnecessary if you just sliced the wires
together.

Hi there, I don’t like to splice my wires, but I do have a question. I
swapped my seats and the light came on , do you know if I have to get the
sensor form the old seats or can I get around it without changing them? Any
input will be awesome! Thanks

InCharge DIY says:

Hi RC, I don’t know of a way to turn it off. I would not recommend turning
off for safety reasons but it is your truck and your call. Thanks for
watching!

CAMAROSS130 says:

after watching the video a second time I went under the seat and since no
wires were disconnected I just pushed them in to the harness plug to make
them a little more snug and the airbag light went off thank you for all
your help your great video saved me a trip to the dealer.

InCharge DIY says:

It shouldn’t hurt. It is always a good idea to disconnect the negative
terminal of the battery when performing any service on the vehicle. This
especially holds true with the electronics on the vehicle. Thanks for
watching!

What code did it flash and will this work on explorer sport

CAMAROSS130 says:

I have an explorer sport and my set up under the seat was different than in
the video I had more than 2 wires in that plug I just pushed the wires in a
little bit at the plug to make them a little more snug and my light went
off hope this helps.

RC Cartaya says:

Good evening, I have a fault with explorer, When I step swich airbag light
flashes three times and turns off, then flashes again 4 times and repeat
the process 10 times. To see if you could advise me how to permanently turn
off

Will this work on explorer sport

InCharge DIY says:

Under the driver side seat. thanks for watching.

sansshenpa says:

where is this wire harness located

InCharge DIY says:

Thank you for the compliment and thank you for watching.

InCharge DIY says:

Thanks for watching. If your vehicle has the harness shown in the video,
and the wire is disconnected or damaged, that is most likely the culprit.
If your vehicle has this then it should work.

InCharge DIY says:

It should. This is my sister’s vehicle and it is the base model. I do not
remember the code, but if you check under the seat and those green wires
are disconnected that is likely the cause of your airbag light. If
everything is in tact then further investigation into the cause will be
required.

CAMAROSS130 says:

I got a 99 explorer sport with this problem do I have to disconnect the
battery at all to make sure the air bags don’t come out after I cut the
plug out and fix it like you did
