Thank you very much for the info, just did the front struts and stablinks on my son's 2009 escape. Aside from the rust, I live outside of Milwaukee Wisconsin, it all went pretty well.

Dude, you're my favorite thing about Ford. Thank you for providing high-quality, truly professional vehicle specific service information. You've helped me to keep our vehicles maintained at a reasonable cost while ensuring friends and family are as safe as possible when on the road.

what if I got the clock position wrong I didn't check that ? Is that throwing my alignment off? How do I get things back if I didn't check the strut clock position?

Gracias

Jonathan Bricio says:

Hey new mechanic here thanks for the vid. As for Torque specs, I just tightened as hard as I could with my hand and manual tools. Is that suffice? What’s the worst and best that can happen?

zombiesatemydonut says:

Your video was great. I wasn't able to remove the bolt from the stabilizer link after I got the nut off, because for some reason there was a lot of tension. I was afraid to slam it out of there by force, because nobody I've seen has had to do that, and it indicated something might have been done wrong when jacking? I jacked only one side because it's a noob job and I only have one jack. Did I skip a step? I tried pulling up on the control arm, but it really seemed like there was so much weight on the bolt something was wrong. I've put the nut back on to spec and put the wheel back on already, but if anyone can clue me in, I'd be grateful.
