GREAT VIDEO!! Very clear, informative and funny .. was laughing and
learning at the same time. EXCELLENT!!

Anthony Lee Clarke says:

How good is the radio reception with The Shorty?

Winfield Wilson says:

One thing I forgot to add to my comment, Adam. My Focus is the SES model,
and has an overhead console/garage door-opener holder which is all part of
the overhead light assembly. I had one extra screw to remove–I accessed it
by opening the cover on the garage door-opener cavity. (Phillips head
screw) My antenna now works fine now. Your video was a great help, thank
you!

Daniel Tziatis says:

how would i complete this on a 2012 Focus where the antenna base is located
over the rear seats?

ramazan berg says:

Is it the same for mondeo ST220 03?

Flannel Acres says:

Bingo!! Thank you!! **High Five!** :-)

pripello vops says:

this really helped even with a ’13 ford fiesta, and it’s a little easier.
that small plastic plug which broke for me and as it started raining
today, it started leaking inside the car.. it sucked really. Thanks a looot
man.

Jim Pieters says:

this video was AWESOME and 100% perfect. It took me all of 7 minutes to
remove and replace the antenna base and put it all back together. the
dealer wanted to charge me over 3 hours of work and about $500-600 to do
the same thing. I am very grateful for this, I am very handy and like to do
small repairs myself. Thanks you once again for posting this very helpful
video.

Melissa Jewison says:

I have been without an antenna for over a year, after I took it off with a
snow broom in one of our lovely spring snowfalls in Minnesota!!! My
question for you is about the short antenna… I have seen mixed reviews
on it. How is the reception? Are you finding it to be as good as the
factory antenna? Thank you sooooo much for this video. I have 100%
confidence that I can tackle this!

Tina Jacobs says:

THANKS!!!! I am about to do that for my mother inlaw…

Winfield Wilson says:

I ordered the parts from Amazon. I will let you know how I come out. I’m in
California, so idk what this “snow brush” is. You rock, though! Thanks a
million!

Tom Blosser says:

Hey Man, thanks much for the vid. It gives me confidence that I can do it!!

Grady Miles says:

Getting ready to do mine. Very helpful

merlechmoose says:

Haha. 14 seconds in and I’m laughing. It WAS caused by one of those. My
father-in-law did one hell of a good job on that one. 😛 Anyway, thanks for
the video and links!

jennifer bailey says:

I have a 2001 ford focus and my antenna is broke ,thanks for this video
makes my job to fix it a lot easier 🙂

David Gormley says:

This video was excellent. I had no idea how to tackle this problem, and
with your video I completed it in 2 minutes. My 2002 Focus does not have
the additional obstacle of taking off the “ring” ; once the light is off,
the antenna screw (thanks for not of T20) is straight up. A+ help!!

Paul Zacharia says:

Perfect! thanks. Found a cheap replacement kit with wiring and everything
at Walmart for under 10 bucks. Only needed the mast. Got the OEM base off
of Ebay for a couple bucks. The masts on Ebay that advertised as universal
did not work as you said. Wish I saw this before I ordered it but the
seller refunded the money anyway. Great directions!

D Campbell says:

Just followed your instructions to replace the dry-wroughted and rusted
antenna on my 2000 model. They were so easy that even this chick was able
to fix it by herself. 🙂 Thanks!!!

tete34255562 says:

Thanks for posting this video! You saved me about $300. That’s what the
dealership told me it would cost. They told me they had to drop the
headliner to get to the antenna.

cjstrick2010 says:

Got mine knocked off the same way dude. Thanks for the vidya. Links to the
parts would be awesome (you can get a click thru payment too!)

Bogdan Danilov says:

Thank you for the tutorial, damn winter!

djelectroknight says:

Thanks for the walk through! This was so helpful. Saved me $$$!

JOE FORD DIY says:

can you put a link on for where you bought the ant i know you said
amazon but do you have a part number?

Lee Kraemer says:

Thanks for a fine detailed view on how to repair/replace my antenna base.

Winfield Wilson says:

Hey, great video! I just bought an ’05 Focus, and didn’t notice that the
antenna was broken off. The dealer had thoughtfully put the broken mast in
the back seat, though. :D

Joseph Pugliese says:

Thank you, just what I needed to know.
