André Anunciada says:

Hi, did you have to cut the structure when the original radio is inserted or we need cut to install the 2 din radio? regards

JoeBot57 says:

any tips?

JoeBot57 says:

in the middle of this myslef, but stugelling to remove the lighter socket from the factory facia to fit to the new double din facia

EJelUrbano says:

i dont get it , all the radio i tried to install are too big , did you modified the dash? or it fits perfect?

MrKaiserPL says:

Nice radio! What model it is?

Alexandre Evangelista says:

Hello
I bought the frame for a panel, are willing to cut the panel up and down.
My sound is Napoli. Can you help me?

TheEdwardzx7 says:

If you read, it CLEARLY says you have to modify the bezel…stop being stupid!

Alex Coll Guerra says:

I’m wondering the same

BRANDON MORALES says:

Did you have to cut the bezel at all to get the stereo to fit?

iamtube says:

what model is that dvd player

zamardii12 says:

This song is YouTube cancer. I turn away the moment I hear it.

Jim Carnegie says:

Need to do the opposite, got focus with space for double decker but want to fit my standard size kenwood.i know about mountin brackets but what can I get to fill gap left?????

xSovereign says:

What is this song?

Dean Endsley Jr says:

No sorry, I don’t. I also don’t have that car anymore.

Dean Endsley Jr says:

Not at all. I didn’t have much trouble with play after the install. Since that dash is technically 1.8 din instead of a full 2, the size of the dash behind the bezel was tight. The radio fit very snuggly into the dash. Look at step #8: ht tp: / /forums .focaljet. com /ice-car-entertainment/629436-how-fit-double-din-00-04-focus. html

THSIS4US says:

do you have a video on pairing/installing the wiring in the dash itself

Dean Endsley Jr says:

Once you remove the factory radio, theres 4 screws that hold the bezel into place. Then just unsnap the bezel out.

MrTrittonzZ says:

How do you remove the piece the radio fits into that snaps into the car?

hugospectrum4v says:

You should start the video with the plastic panel removal…

domegiogio says:

You could explain in detail how to mount this CD? must cut off the plastic of the dashboard or there are problems for the assembly?

lamborgini8 says:

I figured it out now, im installing a kenwood double in in my focus tomorrow.

Dean Endsley Jr says:

Easy, remove the factory radio, and behind it are 4 screws that are holding the bezel in place. Once off, unpop the radio bezel off.

Dean Endsley Jr says:

I measured it and it’s like 17cm and 12cm which is about average for most double dins.

lordmaul3 says:

I just install a double din in my svt focus and your tips really helped…thanks!

lamborgini8 says:

could you measure the pioneer unit you have? i just measured mine and it came out at 19cm wide and 9cm tall which rules out all double din units

Damien Stone says:

How did you get the dash piece off?

lucapn89 says:

thanks for the advice to buy the metra kit! I can buy any two din car stereo then? I wanted to buy a stereo 178 cm length and 110 cm in height may be fine ..!? thanks a lot you are kind and wonderful video!

Dean Endsley Jr says:

Sorry for the late response, youtube wouldn’t let me reply for the longest time. I hooked up only the speed input wire. There is a factory yellow plug harness that is tied into the two factory harness. That yellow plug is the speed input wire. I didn’t hook up the Reverse since I don’t have a camera. I also didn’t use the parking break wire but instead I did the hack/bypass to play video at all times.

Dean Endsley Jr says:

No idea haha. I’m sure with the fir dash kit though

Dean Endsley Jr says:

Not sure

Dean Endsley Jr says:

The Focus is a 1.8 and yes with these brackets, it should fit. I didn’t use the cage since the 1.8 din issue. The radio is stable and snug once the radio bezel is all snapped in.

Dean Endsley Jr says:

Search Metra kit 95-5806 on Ebay or Amazon. I got mine off of Amazon.

Dean Endsley Jr says:

Not a flaw, I mentioned in video description a warning. The radio would not slide into the bezel if the brackets were already on the radio.

lucapn89 says:

beautiful video .. listen to that post the side frames in the video, where you can buy?
Only because I have a ford focus with your own dashboard, but I can only find adapters to a din and double din? how can I do? I want to mount a double din radio! thanks

lamborgini8 says:

MEGA flaw with this… to remove the centre console fascia the radio needs to be removed from the fascia… there are 4 screws on the inside which you access through the radio slot… if you take out the radio and then fit it afterwards, how are you going to put the fascia back when there is no way to access the screws?

lamborgini8 says:

wow, excellent! i have been after something like this for quite some time! I have a 2002 with the 1.8 din slot, does this still fit? also, what about the radio cage and how stable is the unit just on those t wo cards?

TheHomeGrowns says:

I measured my deck in my 2000 ford focus, it is 8 inches, and ive been looking all over the internet, and it says to use a 7 inch. So, does the metra kit add an inch?
