The Ferrari F430 Oil / Water Pump is known to have leaks after some time. Josh shows us how to save about $3,000 by DIY rebuilding the oil and water pump instead of simply replacing it. This is certainly a good way to save a lot of money and it’s not a terribly difficult task. You will need to order a bunch of o-rings of the correct sizes and material.

Love the DIY here!
You guys have struck gold with this format. So interesting to see how things work and the serviceability of these parts. Thanks so much!
Ferrari hates this guy
In just saw you on LivePD
Normal Guy just got busted on Live PD. I thought that car looked familiar.
Well done ! another brilliant $ saving Ferrari video ! thank you !
flow serve! My first job out of college involved selling fluid sealing and pump products for the likes of Chesterton, etc.!
Would most Indy mechanics be willing to do this or would they just push for the replacement of the oil/water pump? Because I know for sure I need to get this sorted sometime next year. Wish Josh was in California!
Nice video. I’ve never seen a oil pump like that. It’s cool that your able to get some insights from a Ferrari mechanic and share it with us all. Thanks
Dan, I have heard that Ferrari's use many parts from Alfa Romeo, Maseratti's (like the 360 F1 transmission pump from Ferrari is like 1K, Maseratti 500usd, and then Alfa Romeo 250USD – the only difference it the logo on the part)…. It would be cool if you could do videos like this showing people how they can save even more money.
AMAZING CONTENT!!!
Really like the direction your videos are going. Great info!
Looking deep inside at lip seals, ball bearings and shafts and weep holes how did anyone keep a straight face and no quacks lol
Similar to BMW's VANOS. They are expensive to replace but can be rebuilt with new seals, as the components and internal springs rarely wear out.
Amazing instructional video, really interesting.
Nice!! Great video!!
I have a dumb question. Why are those cars made so complicated? Just saying.
I need a friend like that
cool…Cant get enough DIY!
I love these videos in Josh’s shop, he is extremely knowledgeable.
