How to Fix Ferrari Door Lock Problem

Ferrari Common Problems & Issues: Door Locks.
Many Ferrari models suffer with door locking issues of some form.
In this video I explain the locking system, remove and strip it down, give an in-depth overview of the lock mechanism and finally replace and give some tips on reinstallation and adjustments.

This is filmed using my Ferrari 456, however it is virtually the same system principles on: Ferrari 360, 430, 456, 550, 612, 348, 355, 599 & 575 models

Hi quick question.. If I have a dead inner central locking pulley tab thing (the thing that says "lock" on it), what is likely the problem? The car will central lock with the fob from outside. Just when I'm inside, when I push the lock tab down nothing happens? Nothing clicks? Many thanks mate!

Dude you are the man. Thank you so much for doing these videos. It's easy to forget these babies are in fact cars and not alien technology. I recently acquired my first Ferrari – also a 1994 348 spider! (black on black) and am definitely slightly less horrified of it after watching your work! (I turned 16 years old in 1994 so i am pretty freaking stoked.) Currently my left door is stuck closed and locked. I may have closed it with the latch in the wrong position. It feels more seized than broken; i cannot pull the top post up. I've tried everything on my348.com with the keys and the pulling and the screwdriver down through the window crack etc. No avail. Any secret tricks come to mind? If not, can i ultimately access the mechanism by gently prying back the strakes panel? Obviously the interior panel fasteners are out of my reach but that'd be nice.. Thanks in advance for everything man. Lifesaver
