Ferrari F430 wash, clay bar, paint chip repair with Dr Colorchip, and new PPF

After all the racing lately, the Ferrari was in need of some paint care. The old PPF had some rocks punch through, so it was time to pull that off and fix the paint chips. I also had to claybar a bunch of grime off the car. Finally, I put on a new PPF so it will hopefully avoid getting too many new paint chips.

You can use PPF by pulling a corner up and pressure washing it off, safer to the paint then just pulling it off dry 🙂 x

gcpeters1982 says:

Whats the stuff your using to remove the excess? is that some kind of solvent?

senexon says:

bro! … you just pulled the ppf off, no fuss no soapy water… savage lol. I was so afraid it will take the paint off when I worked on my little cayman that I had the shop do it. Thanks for posting this video next ppf I'll attempt at home. One last question, where do you get the ppf that's already cut to fit?

I swear I hear mockingbirds there. Heidi.

U do know u sound don't work

Fleabite7 says:

What kind of PPF are you using.  Xpel Ultimate…3M pro??  I would suggest warming the film with a heat gun and remove gently .  You could have easily messed up your paint.

Jeffrey B says:

A guy where I live wanted to charge me $1400 for a 1995 348 Spider to do half of my hood and the front side fenders and the mirrors. That's insane. Doing it myself.

Jason Grady says:

Don't know if this is the first time you used it, but I love the icon in the corner! I hope you keep making DIY videos, because you are definitely taking the fear out of owning exotic cars. Play hard, wrench hard!

Daniel Hurlbert says:

I'm gonna conduct a quick experiment. I've noticed that my channel picked up a bunch of beer ads (HOORAY for BEER!) I'm curious if I mention Miller Lite or Miller Time will Miller start advertising on my channel? I have seen Budwiser, Coors, and Leinenkugel. If any of y'all see a Miller ad, let me know. Just for science. Then perhaps I can convince them to sponsor me. LOL!

Young Rug says:

Great video as always!

Andy Garton says:

I strongly recommend warming the stickers/PPF with something like a hair dryer before pulling it off Daniel – you can easily damage the paint otherwise. I cringed a bit seeing you pulling so hard!

residentflea says:

Question please with at clear wrap. If you had that protective clear wrap on before, would it had prevented that paint chip scratch? Thanks for all the tips and I love the way you teach us about basic maintenance and how to save money, too.

Bonjour Daniel
Excellente vidéo
Pourrais tu faire une vidéo sur l'entretien du cuir.
Au plaisir de regarder tes vidéo
Bonne journée
Amicalement
Michel

Landon Rentz says:

Did you order the PPF pre-cut? And if so, from where?

Southeast Exotics says:

Daniel you forgot the cheap beer …

Wunderboy says:

Enjoyed the vid! One small suggestion (although I understand if you're resistant)- maybe edit out the curses, as some people can't watch your vids when kids are next to them (e.g. Me). Lol. Stradman specifically keeps the language clean for that purpose, so his viewers know it's safe to watch with children around.

Todd Kolar says:

Wanna do my car next?  LOL!!!  Still want that ride my friend, but I'll warn you. I'm most likely gonna "fanboy" out since I am a huge Ferrari enthusiast.
