Ferrari 458 DIY Exhaust Tips Swap

Ferrari 458 DIY Exhaust Tips Swap

It was time for the first mod on the Ferrari 458 Italia… The stock chrome tips don’t quite look right in my opinion with the black wheels and other black trim, so I swapped out the exhaust tips for some black ones. In order to accomplish this, you have to remove the rear bumper off the car. It’s not impossible to do with just 1 person but it’s certainly easier with 2.

While I had the bumper off, I completed my half done Escort Max 360ci radar detector installation. I mounted the radar detector and laser shifters on the car behind the rear bumper so they don’t need to come off anytime the bumper is removed. This should make it easier in the future.

Nice Job! Worked on Ferrari's since the "70's" and if you take your time there not the hardest cars to work on! Congratulations! Who's Jammers did you use?

"Wire Puller" In the trade, we call it "fish tape" 😉 Been following your channel for a while. Thanks for the enjoyable content and thanks to your vids I'm hoping to go shopping for F430s this summer!

Actually I like the chrome exhaust tips. But they always get stained from burnt oil and exhaust. Black ones also look good and are probably easier to keep clean, at least you don't see the dirt. 😉 I'm thinking about black ones.

Still easier than a bumper on an old Cadillac with 10,000 shims

You should use one of the measure thingys

A P says:

Love the new tips but the laser jammers need to be unobstructed thru the mesh grill, horizontally placed. Here’s the best channel regarding radar jammers and radar – this video explains why perfectly. https://youtu.be/RiWxHaqZ3hs

I sincerely hope the jammers are legal in your area, I know they aren’t in mine. Now that you’ve been on Live PD, you know the local force has your number. Good luck, I’ve used those systems in multiple cars and they’re fantastic!

Market Trader says:

Damn, these DIY projects are a hassle. Now that you’re a successful carTuber, maybe a car lift is tax deductible?
