Wonder which competitors the 22 thumbs down people belong too
It’s, you fo you Boo, not boo boo. Just saying.
Thank you! This video saved me hours of headache. I’ve never worked on a screw close caliper before. It’s a lot easier when you finally figure out how to do it correctly.
Twisting that caliper piston back in can sure be a b#$%h. Last time I did this I actually found it helpful to; remove caliper, remove caliper bracket, remove rotor, put bracket back on, and then caliper back on. It allowed a stronger hold for the force necessary to twist the piston with the pliers. Just took a little longer is all.
lol… "You do you boo boo". Love his vids
For twisting the calliper in, I ended up using the tool from my angle grinder. The one to change blades with. It isn't perfect but it did work on my 2010 Caravan. Way easier than needle nose pliers.
I found the hardest part of this is those pesky clips, they don't seat well or stay in. Many frustrating moments. Over all this video made the task easier. Side 2 much easier after practice on side one
Great video. One question. Why wouldn't you use the proper tool/tools for spinning back the piston? Wouldn't using needle nose pliers taking the chance of rupturing the rubber boo?
Good info on the video but there is a specific caliper tool that allows you to close that caliper easier than with a pair of needle nose pliers –
I didn’t think it was possible to have a demo video take longer than the actual job
I'm not much of a do it yourselfer. Wife's '12 Town and Country rears started grinding yesterday. Dealership wants $500 lol. I'm sure local will be cheaper, but can't afford it after this whole virus crap. Anyways, I told her that I'll give it a whirl. It's been 20 years since I've done brakes lol. Googled "How To" vids, found this one, and I will now be ordering this setup from you guys. Great video
Excellent tutorial and work. we need more folks like. very good job dude.
This guy does a great quality work !!!
