Instead of using an air hammer to get the wheel bearing out, do like you did with the bolt except get a deep socket and pin it against the back of the axle itself and use the powersteering to pop it out. Works every time.

Don't remove the hub nut. Pull the hub with the drive shaft attached by removing 3 hub bolts. Leave the 3 hub bolts out about a 1/2 inch, start the truck and turn the steering left and right. The bolts will hit the frame and pop the hub out. The power of hydraulics. Your welcome.
