Bobby Slater says:

Replaced Resistor due to loss of blower speed ( # 3 setting speed). Still
the same; works on HIGH, and 3rd setting is the same as the 1st low speed
setting. Replaced blower motor and still have the same issue. So what is
next?

Bediasman says:

Great videos, do you have any for the Ram 3500? I have a 2012 3500 SWD
with Cummins 6.7L. If you have any videos for it, I would like to watch
them. Thanks

Timothy Willson says:

2002 dakota 4.7L- worked great with this 10 minute fix. I picked up a
mirror at the dollar store- no need to get inverted. Thanks for the video!!

Josh Fickling says:

I just noticed that my blower fan wasn’t working, checked out the blower
motor replacement video and it said if I’ve lost some speeds it’s probably
the resistor. Well I’ve lost all the speeds except for high. I’m assuming
that’s my problem then.

Donald Maag says:

I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500. when i turn the ac to max it makes a loud
noise from the blower motor. should I replace the blower motor or the
resistor?

jacob hau says:

im having a similar prob it blows but just barley will this work

DARRELL GILBERT says:

MY 2008 DODGE TRUCK AC BLOWS SOMETIMES AND THEN IT QUITS WHAT COULD THAT BE

1A Auto Parts says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows this particular
auto repair video. You may be able to apply some of the basics to your
application.

1A Auto Parts says:

It’s possible, try taking the blower motor out of the housing to see if
there’s anything in the cage.

JayNav09 says:

My a/c fan is blowing but real faint on all speed. Would that be a resistor
problem as well. I changed out my a/c heater control and that wasn’t the
problem.

1A Auto Parts says:

It most likely is going to be the blower motor. When the motor heats up,
the bushing inside separate and then there is no longer a contact allowing
it to spin.

Bill velasco says:

My a/c and heater for the longest time would only work on the highest
setting. Just recently it doesn’t blow at all. Would this be cause by a bad
resistor?

darrelllhelton says:

i just changed the resistor and the fan motor and in a week went back to
only high working any sugestions?

Chris Josiah says:

How much does that specific resistor cost? Its seems so common, is there
something Im doing wrong that caused mine to break? Will I run into the
same problem with the new one or is it of better quality than OEM?

cyberrpm says:

I took the resistor out of my vehicle and found a fairly large amount of
corrosion on one of the terminals. After I used a screwdriver and an emory
board nail file to remove the corrosion, the fan worked properly without
replacing anything.

Micah Whitsitt says:

is that the same for an 05 dakota?

1A Auto Parts says:

Usually when you start to loose the speed settings it’s the sign of a bad
blower motor resistor. If you end up needing one, we carry new ones on our
website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393 FREE SHIPPING in the lower 48 states.

darrelllhelton says:

ill look tonight, the day i replaced the resistor it was week in all speeds
so replaced the fan worked great in all speeds than few days later just
high again, maybe something clogged?

1A Auto Parts says:

If your blower motor resistor has gone bad a new one should resolve the
issue for you.

Mike Varga says:

Why haven’t I done this yet??? Thanks!!!!

1A Auto Parts says:

If the resistor has been replaced there might be either a clog in the
system such as leaves or something else or the motor could be weak. My
suggestion would be to remove the blower motor and see if there is any
obstructions in the HVAC housing.

jacob hau says:

ok i just replaced it and it blows better but its not blowing right its
still pretty weak

1A Auto Parts says:

Typically when the blower motor resistor goes bad that’s what happens. We
carry new ones on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

1A Auto Parts says:

It sounds like something may be shorting it out. You may want to check the
fuse going to it to make sure that it the proper size fuse. The fuse should
blow if there’s to much power or a spike going to the resistor.

benni956 says:

The problem with my 03 dodge ram is that the a/c works perfect on my daily
commute from home to work and back and forward in town. I recently took a
three hour trip and like two hours into the trip the blower fan feels like
its not blowing cold air, even at the fastest setting. Does the blower fan
need to be replaced because it may be over heating? I have already replaced
my condenser fan because it was not working and I have just bought this
part from you guys. Any advice?

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to take is out first to see if there’s any debris caught in
the blower motor cage. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to see if the AC needs to be re-charged. You can buy a
re-charge kit at your local auto parts store.

1A Auto Parts says:

Usually when the blower motor resistor goes you start to loose some of the
speed settings. You may also want to take the blower motor out and make
sure that there isn’t any debris in the cage, or that something decided to
make a nest which could restrict the flow of air.
