I have the same year as you, connected to the black and green wires and i get a display on the dash "trailer brake disengaged" and a red trailer with a line through it. Any idea why?

I plug the cables red and black on the reverse(+) and reverse (-) ,like you say,but my camara dont turn on,i check the volts and i have 8volts,can you give me some advice please?,by the way thanks for the video you oready help me a lot sir.good video.
