After you got your cylinder head machined/milled, did you put your cam shaft in the 12(up position ) when you put it on the cylinder head or after you put it on the cylinder head and onto the engine block?

My coolant is going into the engine, coolant level gets lower and oil level dipstick gets high!… no leaks, no smoke. starts up and runs but I stopped driving it.
engine oil is chocolate mud, I drained the oil and a lot of water like came out then the oil.
What's the diagnosis? Blown head gasket? That's what I think. Durango '06 4.7L .
I flushed coolant and used BlueDevil, I don't think it did anything.

I have coolant leaking out of my exhaust pipe, does that mean a blown head gasket or something worse? I don't have the milky oil problem but engine is misfiring just enough to trip a code

I have a 2010 dodge ram 4.7,is it the same type of motor as yours.ever since it overheated,it doesn't turn on be when it cutoff on me smoke was coming of of the bottom of the driver side motor.i checked the oil and it still looked black and when I tried to start it it won't turn on ,but when it almost did you can hear nocking on the driver side

Hey man I have the same year truck and model. I’ve been having this issue where it misfires on a warm startup, so on the first startup of the day it starts fine but when I go somewhere and stop and shut it off, when I come back to turn it starts to misfire, only for like 30 seconds or so then it evens out and it drives just fine. I do feel a bit of power loss when I drive but overall the truck feels great only problem is that misfire on a warm startup. Any ideas ???

It scares me thinking I’m going to do this on my truck I’ve never done a head gasket replacement and I’m so paranoid that I’m going to mess up. But I’m also so ready for it not to be a problem no more.

Hi I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 it's burning coolant I don't know where it's going but just yesterday I checked the oil dip stick and it was kinda milky I did the test tube thing and it changed a very little color but not all the way do you think it's the head gasket
