My son called me just now ans said "Dad can you ckme and get me? My key wont turn". I said hold on let me see what The Tube says. He just walked through the door! Saving lives and time!
Omg! This just happened to me, all alone in a city I’m not familiar with, on a Saturday late afternoon, I finally ran across your video, and hit it with my shoe and nothing happened, I hit it once more with a more solid object and almost on the verge of tears it worked!!! It’s time to retire my 2005 dodge Durango, this is a sign, thank you so much for posting this!
On the older ingnition lock cylinders it's usually cus one of the keeper bar springs fails and when you put the key in one side or both sides won't go down all the way which doesn't allows your key lock to turn.
When you smack the key lock you are basically producing a vibration that allows the keeper to fall down so you are able to turn your key how you would normally be able to do so when your key lock keeper is working how it should Don't drip, this is common on later 90s and 2000s cars. Easiest fix is to replace your key lock tumbler.
Hell yah dude it worked for my 2003 avalanche. Thank you my at all the other videos wanted me to wiggle like ace Ventura when he opens the door to warn the animals
