Awesome video, straight to the point…I am on my way to change the alternator on an 07…will use this method, let u know how this turns out…thanks.
What are the torque specifications for the alternator bolts thank you
I finished with my niece's car about 4 hours ago and hope I never have to do another one! Your video was a great help especially the warning about swearing and "it will come out", I was really questioning that statement for about 45 minutes then twist, tug, puff it was out. But then you have to get the new one in, say a prayer, chant a spell, swear a little and puff it's in. Now comes the hard part the compressor bolts, I removed the oil filter for some room, I did an oil & filter change too, didn't need it but i could not put the used filter back on.
Thanks again
Awesome video! Thanks a bunch
Thanks for the video. I was afraid I was doing it wrong, but then you said " at this time you will be cursing and wishing you hadn't started a project." Then I knew I was doing it right.
Great video watched the video once and then completed very good video i nvr tried to take the alternator from the top but this way is pretty easy
Thanks. Just used your video, helped significantly. Wire connector tab is tricky. Push red slide back, squeeze in and pull.
Thank you for the info……
does the tab have to be pushed in to release or held down to release the connection from the compressor? the tab is broken from the previous owner I've tried everything to get it off
Best video I've seen on this. Thanks for the upload!
omg…. I'm having a hard time removing that electrical wiring from the back of alternator.in your video the red tab is ….like it is pull out while mine is all in. you can only see the top. tried to pull it out but doesn't moved. fry it no luck. I am stuck here. I need help………what would I do to take it off.
good vídeo man, contra. no to long and bla bla, is specific.
good
I took my alternator out from the top of the engine. I found it easier to remove it and to put the new one back in. My issue at this point is I can't get the bottom 16mm bolt to go back in and tighten. It just slides straight through. The top 13mm bolt goes in no problem. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong? 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT 2.0.
