Melissa Gonzalez says:

I have a 2001 Dodge 1500 conversion van and it has rear a/c however the
blower for mine up front only works on 1,2,3, not 4. Can I follow your
steps and it would fix mine? You said your video is not equipped for vans
with rear air.. but mine does have the rear air but its the front air that
wont blow on 4….and also do you have to charge the rear a/c if its not
blowing cold in the back? I’ve already charged front but does it have a
place to charge it in the back? thanks melissa

sirmasterpimp says:

My issue was the blower only working on high, so yours could be the same or
it could also be the blower motor relay under the hood. As for the lights,
I haven’t yet had to replace mine, but I’m pretty sure most auto parts
stores stock those bulbs.

sirmasterpimp says:

@SteeleJim123 Nope, I still have the old van.

figpathat says:

great video. helped a great deal.

PAMAROSHOUSE says:

is this the same part # for a 2002 Durango?

Ian Smale says:

I have a 2003 Ram van and my blower control works on 1,2 & 4 position but
nothing on #3. Is this the same issue you had? Also the lights don’t work
in mine, they are tiny little bulbs with 2 prongs on them, under the front
face plate. Any ideas on replacing them? I also have rear A/C and heat but
it’s a separate control over by the lighter. thanks.

LisaFrench100 says:

How did you find out that was the problem and not the blower motor itself?

Tom's Test Kitchen says:

Thanks, I’m looking into why my redirector switch isn’t working. The air
only comes out of the front facing vents not the floor or defrost. I’ll
take a look at the switch itself, it’s the one on the far right.

sirmasterpimp says:

@ninjafreak87 I’m not too sure, I had the same problem when the compressor
worked in this van. Under heavy acceleration or going up hill it would
switch from vent to defrost and shut off the compressor. The only thing I
could find on forums about it was a possible vaccume leak I would check the
dodge truck forums, they should know which specific lines to check.

sirmasterpimp says:

@melissafoxx It’s under the hood @ 0:10 right where you said it
was……….Pretty much the same location that was on the first generation
vans, dating back as far as the early 90’s

zethca says:

Nice vid, planning on making more? I’m really starting to miss your stuff!

hootersvilledavid says:

OK …switch was bad on this one …but before you tear your dash apart
check the blower motor resistor pack! They are a known problem on Dadge
products. That comes out with 2 1/4″ bolts. Older models it’s on the
firewall pasanger side …newer ones under duck work passanger side foot
well.

b fenti says:

Suggest if you repair anything on a vehicle the first step should be to
disconnect the negative terminal on your battery because if you touch metal
to certain components you can cause permanent damage. Better safe than
sorry. He got lucky this time.

sirmasterpimp says:

Sounds like something to do with the blend doors. Could be the little motor
behind the glove compartment, or one of the plastic doors inside could have
broken off.

outlawshawn says:

if u have a blower motor install vid i would love to see it my blower with
out and its 100 in dc

jmccannhtx says:

I got one brand new (Wells) from PartsDork on eBay for $23.64 all in — way
cool! Thanks for making it possible, especially by showing the parts
number!

Melissa Foxx says:

BTW, the Blower Motor Resistor is IN the engine! On the A/C cover next to
the Tranny fluid Dip stick… Haynes Manual has it wrong for the 2001 Dodge
Ram 1500 van!

koohjnomis says:

I also have an issue with direction control 2003 Dakota switch on far
right, did you get your taken care of if so please let me know how it went,
is it possible to purchase at auto parts store, thanks

sirmasterpimp says:

@zethca I’ve got a few solar updates and other stuff coming……Might post
as early as tomorrow.

sirmasterpimp says:

@jmccannhtx you’re welcome, thanks for watching!

shane stoneham says:

thank you bro i have a 2002 hyndai elentra i have to replace the blower
switch to. it has went out before. I bet its the same problem you had with
gunk and wearing down points. Just to give you an understanding of how much
a repair shop would charge for this…793 dollars. I had them replace it
when i was in a car accident. Stupid costs for such a simple repair huh!
autozone rules btw

sirmasterpimp says:

Ouch $793 ? That’s darn near criminal! I probably would have severely
overpaid too, if it hadn’t been for youtube vids on the subject. Thanks for
watching man and I agree autozone rocks!

TommySurfSafari says:

in Chitown!! ;-0

Paul Cooper says:
